3/5
I've completed it 6 full runs with different crews. This is a mediocre roguelike game that combines elements of Backpack Hero's grid-modifier mechanics with combat reminiscent of Dragon Ball's energy beam clashes, similar to Cobalt Core.

The gameplay isn't very unique, but I wouldn't categorize it as bad either. I would rate it a high 3, but I rounded it down because I feel the "growth" aspect is somewhat linear, and there's not much variety between runs. If you were only given choice to "like" or "dislike" on steam, you would lean toward "like", but not because it was amazing, but more of it wasn't bad enough to "dislike". This is also one important reason for game receiving "overwhelmingly positive" reviews and massive sales, because the dev is Chinese and invited many Btubers (Bilibili) to play it, and the Chinese player base on Steam is massive usually giving chinese dev some advantage.

PS: So far, I've played hundreds, if not more, roguelike games. I still consider Monster Train to be the best roguelike overall, and Warriors of the Nile 2 the best scalable roguelike. (WotN2 is a chinese game and I think it was an excellent game. I am not against Chinese games or Chinese dev, but dislike Chinese game that are under and sponsored by the CCP as a part of tell China story well 讲好中国故事 initiative, to boost "pride of living in china under the CCP" and intentional shape the global narrative. This game is not one of them, but more and more Chinese games are becoming like that as CCP finds out that sponsoring chinese dev and pushing soft propaganda to young ppl both within and outside of China is a better solution than hard core propaganda. The CCP's use of everything as a tool to boost their legitimacy of ruling China forever makes me sad. )

PSS:As for the chinese devs and chinese player base, think it like if Poland had 1.4 billion people, The Witcher 3 would likely never leave the title of best-selling game ever, reminds me of how "Nezha 2" becames the top 3 highest box office animated movies in history. Not saying how I feel, but this is the truth.

Definitely, it is a classic, but from my point of view, the growth in FTL is very strained. Even on a perfect run, by the very late non-boss fight, you still don't feel you are overpowering your opponent.

I prefer the type of roguelike game where if you play it strategically and have a near-perfect run, by the late game, you can wipe the normal enemy out in an instant and only when facing the boss fight you have a little bit of struggle. This type of game is not only fun, but feels rewarding if you know your build and decide to pivot it strategically early on to seek extra advantage. FTL clearly doesn't feel that way, I feel I am struggling on every fight even if I play it near perfect.

Hey would you mind listing a couple more of your favourites? Love roguelikes but could do with some more recommendations

I could, but it's easier for me to just give you a recommendation if you already have a game that you like. For instance, I feel Balatro is extremely mediocre. I don't know why people really like this game. The nice thing I could say about Balatro is each round is extremely quick if you know what you're aiming for.

I'd say you could give warrior of the Nile 2 a try, And probably Die in the Dungeon, peglin, card survival, Rogue Voltage . There are a few good ones I couldn't think on top of my head. I don't remember the name of it. I would say Monster Train is by far the best in a mile margin.

It's completely normal, recently Windows defender and Chrome have updated new features, for small files, they will scan if it contains virus or if it is pirated material. Their database now has updated hashes of popular cracked files like Goldberg, SKIDROW, RUNE, TENOKE,... In this case it found the cracked file, and it blocked the browser from downloading it.

BTW, here is the result from virustotal:
