For the people trying to use workshop mods with this game, you need to first download basemod from nexus (BBE)
(YOU NO lONGER NEED TO DO THIS, THERE IS ACTUALLY A WAY TO DO MODS WITHOUT BBE WHICH FUSTRATES ME TO NO END.) This allows you to play non compatible BBE mods, which some mods may even use a basemod workshop requirement to play, with the use of LoR's normal modding application it'll allow you to play any mods on the workshop just as long you're updated to latest or if the mod creator doesn't muck anything up. I'll be leaving a guide on how to play mods without the use of BBE, but I'm leaving the guide here just in case anyone wants to play nexus mods
First, make a shortcut of your exe file.
Then open up properties then just put -mod after the target path. I'd express my rage and fustration at finding such a simple way to start making mods work after literally finding ways for two months, albeit without asking anyone for help as I didn't want them to ask if I pirated the game. But this message is long enough already.
I recommend saving your progress by going to disk C: users:/yourcomputername/appdata/locallow/projectmoon/ and save the entire folder named LibraryOfRuina, I'm not aware of basemod breaking anything but it's better to be safe than sorry.
Then after following the directions (unpacking the download into the EXE folder) You need to make sure that the basemod folder HAS a empty folder or a folder in it else BBE will crap out and fail to start the game.
Afterwards you should be able to install workshop mods, and nexus mods (i haven't tried nexus mods yet, I'll edit this post if I ever do.) If BBE somehow fails on you that isn't solved by reinstalling, or making sure the basemod folder has a folder inside it, or checking if your game is in the right version (1.1.0.6a13 or above) I don't have a solution for you as I have 0 idea on how the thing works, I just hoped for the best really.
Some questions that might be asked in the future, if you see a bunch of missing S# missing don't worry about it, it's just the sprites for the mod characters not having that specific state, it wont stop a mod from working so don't panic if you see them.
If you get a black screen after the project moon logo, that means you didn't put a empty folder inside basemods or having a folder period in there.
Some mods have specific ways of their invitations, sometimes they replace general invitations with workshop mode above the 3 book invitation, sometimes they use the IF state (press tab to go in this mode) and will replace main story invitations with the mod that replaces them.
A good example is distorted xiao, which needs you to press tab and look at the Xiao invitation to see that it's changed.
Another example is sword saint which replaces the 3 book star of the city general invitation with it's own reception.
I have seem to actually reached a limit on how long I can make one message, or maybe I reached the image limit. Just use workshop downloader to grab workshop mods, and use extract-to and not extract here, one puts them in a neat folder, the other one unpacks the contents without putting them in a folder.
i put 'mod' behind "E:\Games\Library Of Ruina\LibraryOfRuina.exe"-mod but it keep saying ("E:\Games\Library Of Ruina\LibraryOfRuina.exe"-mod specified in the target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct) how can i change it like your ? .
Skin mods work just as long you play with LOR with mods, some don't show up in the modloader, but some do. Skin mods do work barring some incompatibility with versions.
you must click the box that says "install contents of CODEX directory to installdir", it's what installs the actual cracked files, otherwise you'll just go to steam.
for anyone still wondering why the updater isn't working, you still need to download update 1.1.0.6A8 beforehand. though if the game starts up on steam you just forgot to enable the codex install in the prompt!

Alright, found the fix by scrolling down. All of this will basically be copy-paste. Back up your save before doing this, just to be sure. (C:\Users\xxx\AppData\LocalLow\ProjectMoon) To do this, first have both the new file from IGG downloaded, and the old file provided by Lunartique (or old download). From the old file you are gonna want to copy and paste LibraryOfRuina.exe, LibraryOfRuina.exe1, UnityCrashHandler64.exe, and UnityPlayer.dll into the new file (I'm not too sure if this step is required, it probably isn't, but it's included just to be sure). Secondly, From the old file go to LibraryOfRuina_Data>Plugins>x86_64, and copy all the files inside it. Go back to the new file and paste the files into the same place, LibraryOfRuina_Data>Plugins>x86_64. Lastly copy the entire Steamworks_LOR folder from the old file into the new file. After all of this it should let you play the game.
Here is an old download for this game http://download947.mediafire.com/uru8fg35ezmg/5u3u3rsy4kdz2q0/Library.of.Ruina.v1.0.4.4a3.rar When you done downloading is most likely gonna be corrupt atleast i got corrupted file when extracting it. but don't worry just extract the needed one so follow Anon post (on the top of me) and copy all the needed file and replace it with the old one, and you should be good to go And if for some reason the download link is not working just search up and older version of this game on other website Sorry for bad grammar
it would be too big to download again older version... can someone please upload only the needed files? Specifically the old Plugins>x84_64 folder and Steamsworks_LOR folder? Thank you.
Maybe one of you will know but as soon as I start my game and go to the options, I only have one resolution available (1280x720), which looks like a grainy potato. Anyone have any solutions?
Cause someone upload clean steam files somewhere else that why, if not one share clean steam files this will no happen as IGG dont own this game at all.
DRM or digital rights management is used to restrict piracy, think denuvo. When devs use drm the game became harder to crack and can cause peformance issue
welp i guess i can understand that. Who knows im just gonna wait or do stuff to pass the time. If the update aint here gonna look for a different game to play in the meantime
IGG not own the game. IGG wait for someone else share clean steam files and then upload it here i assume. Or else the game file sizes no that big, why they need take so long time to upload it. Plus they earn money from ad everytime user download game from here.
Im kinda grateful in a way of the update here taking longer, this way i don't end up completing all of the little update content in one go and have to wait another 7 days for more.
Which update is this? According to the patch notes, there's only ver. 1.0.3.6c and 1.0.3.6. Can't find v1.0.3.6b update. I assume the uploader didn't bother to check the game version. Gonna check which version this is later after downloading it.
Is the lastest one cracked because there is a initialization issue on mine? I know there is already a guide below on how to fix it but I don't know if it is still applicable.
I would like to inform you that there is a bug in your last update (v1.0.3.4) that prevents passives from being used, please upload the update again or the next update.
Alright so for people that are having the initialization issue, it turns out that the latest crack given out by IGG is not actually cracked. Thankfully there is an easy way to fix it. Back up your save before doing this, just to be sure. To do this, first have both the new file from IGG downloaded, and the old file provided by Lunartique.
For people who have problems with the new update- game is in a different language and getting the error "game is not initialized". You should go back to the previous version until a patch is given out for this bug. Go to "Local Disk (C:) > Users > > AppData > LocalLow > Project Moon > LibraryOfRuina" [AppData is a hidden file so if it isn't visible to you search up how to make it visible] In the LibraryOfRuina folder you can find your save file; named "save_slot_1.dat"; copy or cut that onto a different folder you can access easily. Next is to delete the Project Moon folder above; then delete your entire Library of Ruina folder wherever you extracted it at. Download the previous version; here's a link [https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1PvWRvMf8p2hPGcIFZoKwnWYJ5l66GZUd&export=download] Once it is downloaded run it once and close it again. Go back to "Local Disk (C:) > Users > > AppData > LocalLow > Project Moon > LibraryOfRuina"; it should be there again since you have ran the game already. Grab your "save_slot_1.dat" and paste it into the "LibraryOfRuina" folder. Now just run the game again and you should be able to continue your save.
I'm having a problem with the new update where i cannot play the game; I get the error "game is not initialized" whenever i click New Game or Continue, i have tried changing around the language in-game and in the files.
Anyone facing probelm the game cannot be play? As it no only need bypass steam but also need emu file in order to crack the game unlike previous version
There is no version 1.0.0.8c on steam, only 1.0.0.8b (tittle mistake) but still thanks for the update!, the game update too fast its almost hard to request everyday.
I'm getting "Game is not initialized, cannot start game" error when trying to start a new game. Anyone has the fix for that issue? Please let me or for all of us know. If there is none then i guess i'll have to wait for the next patch/version of the game.
this, is a very specific game. I didn't play it myself, mind you, so can't tell you a lot on gameplay past what I saw watching streams of dudes on my discord, but I know one thing. Lore in this game is not what you see everyday, and to fully understand it, you might need to play the first game, lobotomy corp. all I can tell you is that you simply try it out yourself
This doesn't contain the latest patch, There's a softlock that prevents progress if you lose cutscene given books by failing a combat that needs one of them. Dont worry if you're only going to play for a few hours to try before buying, it's quite further into the game. It's a really good game otherwise, pleasantly surprised by the production value. There's also a big update coming in 2~ish days, eh. And another one the 11th of june. They're crazy. That's incredible how fast they roll out updates. And content.
I asked them to update the game but it looks like they are busy because they update it into 1.0.0.3b instead of 1.0.0.4e. (probaby got confused with the number or just too busy to even notice it) will ask later in the next 2 day hoping they would update it again
It's by the same people who made Lobotomy Corporation. In fact, it's a direct sequel to that game. Plus, these are Koreans we're talking about. It'll be 1.0 by the end of the year, tops.
no, the storage is what it will use of your computer, so it will use 10GB of your storage(like if the game have a installer(online) or will decompress files/create more files), i have gearcity and it use 6GB of my storage
Well, I enjoyed Lobotomy Corporation, and this game looks quite promising, I thought this was some kind of visual novel until I went to the Steam page... It looks quite gorgeous though and during this isolation, might as well give it a try, eh?
I like anime as much as the other guy but how retarded does he have to be to not see that this is korean and not jap? everyone who downboated you have peabrains
Yepp i thought the same, some comments on steam say the is kinda a sequel to LobCo?! 🤔 Well i can´t say it looks like a sequel, but i just starting now playing this.

Just copy the link of a workshop mod you want to play and shove it in the mods folder.
Use this one instead:
http://steamworkshop.download/download/view/2829643181
but it keep saying ("E:\Games\Library Of Ruina\LibraryOfRuina.exe"-mod specified in the target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct)
how can i change it like your ? .
So, you're supposed to make a shortcut of the library of ruina.exe, then modify the target by slapping -mod at the end.
I tried reinstall and blocking internet.
Here is the image
where can i get the version 1.1.0.6a8.
beforehand. though if the game starts up on steam you just forgot to enable the codex install in the prompt!

i used the v1.1.0.6a13 updater and this happens
and where can i get the digital art book and library of ruina soundtrack?
Excuse me. How can I solve this problem?
I just ran a new version.

Workshop skins: no
I think living is a better choice.
I might get salt
guess new update coming tomorrow
Oh wait it aint updated yet
Also seems that the issue with the last crack (problem with initializing game) is fixed in this one. :)
