I was playing this game today and i just saw this nick 'igggames' in the lobby, i tried to invite to the game but i don't know what happened. Not sure if the person didn't accept my request or what. Was it the owner of this site? Or anybody who downloaded from here can have a nick like this? im kinda confused. Playing this game online would be like a dream to me
I'm glad to know the Megadrive was the hottest console in South America! You people have good taste! he he๐๐ (btw, Argentina is a very attractive country, and I always liked your soccer team๐) I think it was also the most popular in Russia at that time. France was more like 50/50 between Super Famicom and Megadrive. Well, my teenage years might have been my happiest years in my life so yeah, definitely nice to remember these memories! ๐นโค๏ธ๏ธ
Yep, this felt incredible when I first saw it. I never played it on a real Neogeo though. Back in high school in 1999, a friend gave me a CD with "NeoragEX" emulator, and around 100 games... lol ๐ Since NeoGeo games were extremely expensive (around 300$ for a game, I think? It was 1200fr in France...), it was really incredible to get hundreds of these games on a single CD... lol According to reviews on Steam, this version is okay. Sometimes, people complain about lazy ports with choppy animation and stuff like this. (Mark of the wolves)
Used to play them too using NeoRageX. Even created a CD with jewel case and Neo Geo Style prints as covers. Should still have it lying around here somewhere. I think the emulator came out around 99. Since you can emulate it for a long time by now, this version is somehow pointless. Metal Slug is still the best Neo Geo game series! ^^ Just found my old case. I went with a Garou - Mark of the Wolves theme. I think i'll burn a DVD will all the games to put inside as my DVD-Rs are collecting dust for years already. ^^
Yeah sometimes I hesitate about getting these Steam versions. Only a few of them offer some nice improvements. Like for example "The King of Fighters '98 - Ultimate Match - Final Edition", which has some gameplay "balancing", a few new characters, and some new modes, I think. But other than that, yeah it's better to play on emulators for accuracy, crt filters and stuff, saving, etc. And yeah, when I play alone, I guess that me too, I would say that Metal Slug is the best choice on NeoGeo! When I play with a friend, maybe the Real Bout Fatal Fury games...
