If you're using cheat engine, remember that the value is stored in double. Use unknown value and do a increased/decreased value next scan repeatedly until you've found the address. Note that even if you were to think of using exact value, it wont show up. I tried doing it twice so I know the pain.
It's a nice small game and pretty challenging. One downside to it however, is that, it gets repetitively harder and harder. I've played two runs and that makes me exhausted already. My real struggle probably about myself not that smart at this kind of game, and trying to cheat my way through trying to find that address took lots of repeat, so my stamina was a goner by the time I found it (I'm newbie to CE, can't make table for shits). And without cheats, the third area was a lot more challenging than the first two already, so I don't think it's a game you'd like to finish unless you know what you're doing.
And the spec requirement is a lie. You'd need more than intel core duo to run this thing; there's no low quality setting in the game, by the time you've unlock tiles with 3-4 hearts to explore, the game was running so badly on 3x time. Though of course, you could make a do with 1x or 2x, but it gets tough to bear because when you have adjusted yourself to the game, 1x/2x is just not enough anymore.
