For anyone else having the problem with the update. I got it to work doing the following:
Just download and install the base game without the update.
BLOCK LSPlauncher, LSPgame and LSPupdate from accessing the internet (make a new outbound rule in your Firewall settings).
You HAVE to do step 2) BEFORE you first attempt to launch the game. If you don't it will go into "update mode" and you will get the Chinese error message mentioned in previous comments. Then, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the whole game again.
Did you experience such an issue and come here for a solution? Well, there's a good fix, described by someone named "lightcraver" in the comments below, but I'll simplify it and add a few different things.
Reason for the issue: The game used to work but now it doesn't because the game has a system that won't allow you to play on an older version once it gets updated. The cracked version you have is of an older release, which is why you can't open it.
Solution: 1-) Block everything containing LSP in your firewall. If you don't know how to block applications in your firewall: (For game files that require internet access) - Use this link for Windows 10 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vNcpwJdu_0) - For other versions of Windows or Linux, search on YouTube.
2-) In the firewall application protocol section, search for the names one by one as shown here and then block them. (Even if the image shows multiple entries for the same application name, that’s not important. Just block one instance of each name. In total, you should be blocking three different application names.) If you are using antivirus software like Kaspersky or McAfee, which uses their own firewalls as the default, perform the application blocking operation directly through the antivirus.
3-) After you've implemented the blocks, when you open the game, you should see a loading icon like this but YOU SHOULD NOT SEE ANY LOADING BAR BUT ONLY SOME CHINESE STATIC TEXTS. If you see a loading bar, it means the game is trying to update, which indicates that the blocking was not done correctly.
You need to block it before opening the game, because if you try to open the game even for once, it downloads the update before blocking it, the game won't open anymore. After installing the game, don't even try to open it once. Complete the blocking process first, then open it for the first time. There's no "fix or doesn't work anymore situation" for this method because the game version is the cracked one, so it's fixed. Once you do the blocking, you continue with a single version. This means if it worked for someone 3 months ago, it will work now because the game version hasn't changed, it's the same version it's the cracked one. Make sure you block it correctly.
I did. I installed the game. NEVER opened it, blocked it using the YouTube tutorial. AFTER following the tutorial, only then did I try to open the game. It still downloads the update.
Yup, I've tried it 5 times. Uninstalled, installed, followed the firewall tip/tutorial, and it still downloads the update, rinse and repeat. It still gives that error.

Here's a tip for those who tried the firewall trick and it still doesn't work: TURN OFF YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION. Yup, you read that right. You have to sacrifice not being able to go online just to play this game. I got it to work this way. Just turn on your internet connection once you're done playing it for the day. And then, if you want to continue where you left off, turn off your connection again.
I just did it, and mine actually opened BUT when i click start game he says that an anomaly occurred cause the steam sv is off (smt like that) so now the game opens but i still cant play... how did you do it? you just downloaded, turned off the internet and thats it? edit: solved. reinstaling didnt work but after i re-downloaded the entire game it worked.
Guys when I ran the launcher, it gave xinput1_4.dll error. I downloaded the dll from the internet It doesn't give that error anymore, but when I open the launcher, it closes again. What is the problem?
that is one of common problem with windows 7 the solution is to copy xinput1_3 and rename it xinput1_4.dll

isnt that "xinput" dll are for games that use controller?? (dont worry about this part, just mumbling why a visualnovel only game use a controller)
