Confirmed this doesn't work. -> Started Steam -> Ran KnightSquad.exe as admin and it takes me to the game's page on steam. When I check 'Task Manager' (on Windows 10), the game starts up briefly, then dissapears, and that's when I get directed to the game's page in Steam. I also tried adding the game within Steam, and launching it from there. Same result. -> I also ran KnightSquad MP.exe as admin and get message "Unable to launch game. Make sure the 'Target' and 'StartIn' folder point to correct path and folder. It appears this game isn't even cracked. Edit: Ok, so if you create a text file called "steam_appid.txt" in the Knight.Squad.v1.0.1.0 folder (after extraction), and put any number in there (I would put the game's steam app id which is 294000) and save the text file, you can then start the game, but it's all messed up looking....
