The developers who made this game are called Berzerk Studio, and they made another game called Berzerk Flashback, and I can't seem to find it anywhere. Am I just dump or is it not on igg-games for some reason?
Copy the pluggins file from the old version and past it to new then copy the Profile Folder to the new one then for the files on the home page : Copy everything except JSB.exe, GameAssembly, and the folders to new, and voilah done and done
yes copy the entire pluggins folder and replace the new one, and go to \Plugins\x86_64\steam_settings\531510\remote\ and copy the public_JSBSave_SaveData and then goto Profiles\VALVE\Saves\ and paste it and rename it to : Game_Beta_JSBSave_SaveData
Thank you! It's finally working now, for some reason, it didn't work with my original download of the new version, but when I downloaded it again from another source, and just copied the save file from the old version's \Profile\IGGGAMES\Saves to the new version's \JSB_Data\Plugins\x86_64\steam_settings\531510\remote (and renamed it), it WORKED!
I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, mainly because when I download the new version, there is no steam_settings included. Edit: Forget what I said, I found it and copied it, and now it works.
Like I said, it now works. That being said, transferring over the old save file was the only thing to do, right? Or is it necessary to transfer the Plugin folder too?
Minimum: OS: Windows 7 Processor: Intel Core i3 3.0 GHz 64 bits Processor Memory: 2GB of ram (i currently have 2gb and works super cool here) Graphics: DirectX 10-compatible graphics card with at least 256MB of video memory DirectX: Version 10 Storage: 700 MB available space i saw that the minimum is actually wrong saying that you need 4gb, but i see the game runs ok with just 2gb lmao
I downloaded the game and it works just fine, but it doesn't look like any of the updates are here? Is there something I've done wrong or is there a way to get em? Thanks
I can't download it, cuz my Anitvirus says that the website is dangerous. Send help! Fix it, but now I need to install a extension for the download. -_-
How can i get back my save file from an older version after downloading the update ? It doesn't seem to be managed the same way, so is my save file completely lost ?
buddy try again; your looking at a page thats made to give you a virus. Make sure it takes you to google drive or http://mega.co.nz or something, dont be stupid
Failed to load PlayerSettings (internal index #0). Most likely data file is corrupted, or built with mismatching editor and platform support versions. help
Black screen with v1.3.19 .. worked well with older versions .. any suggestions to fix this annoying problem ? (i have win 8.1 .. also tried to disable smart screen and the anti virus .. didnt work)
I moved the game files to this exact location : (C:\Users\PCname\Documents\MEGAsync Downloads) then tried to open it from there .. surprisely it worked xD .. idk why but im satisfied .. hope this weird solution help you too :)
download this game few weeks ago, i really love it and got hooked up with the game so i bought it on steam recently, is there a way to transfer the saved data and beat points? Edit : nvm, alrdy got past my beat points for now and got S rank on most of the song now so i don't really need to transfer it
I answer for anyone else who would ask the same question : go to \Profile\IGGGAMES\Saves herer you got your save file. Copy it to a safe place, delete the cracked game files, then install the bought version. Put back that file you took away right in place, and it should work :D
It does work but you need an online fix. I would tell you where I got it but that site went down although I still have the file so I can send it to you somehow if you'd like.
Sure, the only method I can think of right now to share files is through drive so here you go -> https://drive.google.com/open?id=1o-yccWk3qYbVc3ZwqyXBEEjanEDwOHDs In case this is your first time using an online fix, all you have to do is extract the contents of the zip file into your game directory and click replace, then launch the game with steam open and you should be able to use the steam overlay to invite your friend(s). Keep in mind that your friend(s) also needs to do the same.
I get Failed to load PlayerSettings (internal index #0). Most likely data file is corrupted, or built with mismatching editor and platform support versions.
if i play this game, the game has not open, there is just a black screen. in a sec the black screen are over and.... the icon of JSAB was deleted... help
I Tried reinstalling the game with a different downloader, deleting everysingle file with "steam" in the name 1 by one, and it still won't work!! why??
Dude, that wont exist. It will only depends on Just Shapes and Beats creators. If they have added level editor in the game, then this link will update. But you have to reinstall it again. Oh yeah another way to get level editor is this link:http://bit.ly/jsabeditorsignup It also depends on the creators on just shapes and beats if they will allow you to access the level editor. And they allowed me to so I am very grateful and lucky.
You need to remove one of the Steam.api files. I am unsure which one, but make sure to have a back-up of the file in case you remove the wrong one. Try all of the steam.api removal one by one , each time trying to open the game. :)
help, i did remove the steam_api64.dll from the plugins folder. It did work, but after a few logos appeared just blackscreen no more. I relaunch the game now just total blackscreen nothing else pls help
Reinstall it if not fixed, and make a backup of what you deleted. Delete the apis one by one, doing a backup. if anything go wrong, use your backup to save the game!
can you explain more in depth? the first version of jsb i have saved to appdata but this new version saves elsewhere (valve folder) and i cant seem to transfer my save no matter what i do
I cant run it for some reason... my specs are way above the recommended. It just turns on for 10 sec and the only thing I see is a blackscreen and then it crashes.
for me when i download it it works fine but when i get to the final of the level the thing you have to collect is glitchy and the bullets move faster than in the normal bought version
I keep getting my messages deleted every time I try to link to something that might help people having problems. I had no idea the mods were so strict on here. So I give up linking to other versions of JSAB - Google it and find a different rip of v1.1 (there's one easily found on YouTube as of now that works) - and copy the Steamworks Fix into its folder. Copy the new steam_api64.dll into the JSB_data\Plugins folder and change your name in steamConfig.ini to match your steam name. The anti-piracy message that comes up in this version when you try using the Steamworks Fix won't trigger in certain other rips of the game available online. Can a mod look at restoring my previous messages please? I can't believe they're trying to stop people getting help.
In that case just grab the v1.2.17 from SOTP's post below. Don't bother trying to install any multiplayer fixes as of yet because they either don't work or break the saving.
http://steamworks.ga A couple of maybe helpful bits here. Search shapes or something, there's an online fix and a Steamworks fix but a different one from SOTP's. (They're rar files so add the extension after downloading them.) It's weird and uses a completely different method from SOTP's much more straightforward fix. Online fix uses cream to create a steam wrapper and it's cumbersome and slower than SOTP's Steamworks fix. The .ga Steamworks fix uses a single exe file to extract the required files at runtime then delete them afterwards but it may not work properly - in my case files were missing and needed putting in the game folder to get it working. I gave up with it very quickly. However, these files could be useful as a starting point to get multiplayer and saving to work correctly in v1.2.17 so I'm linking to them - experienced crackers might find them helpful while trying to create a fully working fix as my hacking skills are very limited. Anyone feels like giving it a go, good luck!
The steamwork fix I put up doesn't seem to be working for 1.2.17. It does show "spacewars" on steam but it seems like it isn't actually connected since it doesn't use your steam username. I might try fixing if I get time.
You can rename the name it uses in the steamConfig.ini file. However that doesn't get past the pirate message. If you look at the 244K steam_api64_o.dll file in the Online Fix from http://steamworks.ga website which can be renamed to steam_api64.dll and put into the Plugins folder, it seems to get past the piracy check in v1.2.17 but the saving is broken. Since different versions of the steam_api64.dll file save in different places, e.g. in appdata\LocalLow or in the game folder's Profiles subdirectory, it's probably an oversight in the 244K version of the file. It is able to load data from appdata but doesn't save back to it. I have no idea how to fix it but maybe that's a good starting point?
help,i do all steps for multiplayer, but when i start the game,it directly crash,it looks work please help,do i need to download steam or other ? @avengahM:disqus @disqus_cSDwjuhhNV:disqus
Which version are you using? I couldn't get v1.2 to work properly in the end, it wouldn't save so I gave up with it. Copy the Steamworks Fix into the folder with v1.1 and then also copy the new steam_api64.dll into JSB_Data\Plugins. That should work. Yes, you probably need Steam but it spoofs it into thinking it's a different game so install Steam and it might work.
tl;dr fresh install of 1.1 and copy Steamworks Fix into folder. Then copy api dll into data \ Plugins. Rename player in steamconfig file. That is all you should need to do; the yarr message only appears in 1.2 when using that 238k api file because I guess the 1.2 update isn't fooled as easily - if you're actually getting avast ye landlubbers in v1.1 then I can't help other than to say try a different api dll - maybe install v1.2 as is with its 1.4M dll and it will work but multiplayer will be broken. Either way I recommend editing the steam id file to say 480 if it doesn't already; if not done the game may not even start. What a mess. Full description, as best as I can explain it: Well, it depends on what you mean by "fix". No, I can't help you get fully-featured 1.2 with multiplayer. The closest I got was 1.2 with no multiplayer or 1.2 with multiplayer working but saving disabled. (Weird - save file loaded but failed to update - it loaded the save from the appdata location but didn't save back to it, so you'd be stuck at the exact spot with the exact number of ranks and coins - any extra earned quickly forgotten upon quitting. Pointless having multiplayer working because although the extra coins earnt would be nice, all progress being lost makes the whole process a waste of time. Easy test to see if saving works: O from main menu, change volume, quit. Restart game, check options. If volume change saved, you're good. Then look for the save - in appdata or profiles as I said elsewhere - and check the timestamp. Fun fact: if using the 1.4M dll file you can create multiple profiles by changing player name as the subfolder uses the name. Useful for multiple players but multiplayer is out. A better way might be to use the 238k file which saves to appdata, then renaming the save if you want a new profile. Best to have descriptive names such as saveData_Matt.jsb, saveData_Ben.jsb etc. then copy the one you want to use to saveData.jsb - then copy it back to the named file after finishing the game session to update your progress without losing it if another profile is copied into place. That stuff is advanced messing about with files so if it's too much for you, don't worry about it. I should probably say just do the basic preparation to get the game working and reply if you still have any problems. I'll try to help as best I can if you are able to describe your situation and which file versions you're using. Now the big problem with multiplayer and saving is with the dll file. The 1.4M saves your data in a "Profiles" subdirectory in the game folder but multiplayer is no good. The 244k is the one working on v1.2 but saving is broken. My best result: stick with v1.1 for now and use the 238k dll. Copy it into JSB_data\Plugins. That will put your saves in appdata\LocalLow\Berzerk something or other - look for saveData.jsb in there. That version will work fully as far as I know, but Hardcore mode is unavailable. Maybe get your grinding done with v1.1 then upgrade to v1.2 only after everything is done - by which point you won't need multiplayer. You can use the 1.4M dll file with v1.2 with no other problems than broken multiplayer; saves may need copying back from appdata to profiles but I can't confirm yet. It may be in Profiles[your player name in the ini]\Save. Copy it to appdata\LocalLow\Berzerk something\Just Shapes _ Beats and make sure it's called saveData.jsb - it may need renaming from some long-winded beta thingy. Yarr harr fiddle-de-dee, the lengths we go to to get these games working... Sorry it's so complicated. I hope there's enough information here to help you. If I get v1.2 fully working I'll be sure to update this. Good luck!
Thank you for taking the time to write that explanation. Guess all we can do is wait for a generous person to make a v1.2 crack. By the by, yesterday we were trying to get v1.1 to work like you said in your tl;dr, but for some reason it would not work. We used SOTP's fix and replaced things just like described, but every time we tried to enter challenge>friends we got the "yo, this game's pirated" message. Except for a friend who misunderstood my instructions, and instead of copying the steam_api64.dll into the plugin folder, copied the steamoverlay64.dll. He could access and invite us just fine. It would seem replacing the steam_api64.dll into the plugin folder made the game trigger the piracy sequence to us, for whatever reason. Changing it back made multiplayer work just fine. Guess every PC is different?
Yeah, I realised I made a mistake - I realised the version of JSAB I was using was a different version and posted a comment here but it seems to have disappeared. I hope the mods didn't delete it because I was only trying to help. I won't link to it this time so maybe it'll stay up. Basically there's a YouTube video called "Just Shapes and Beats FREE DOWNLOAD 2019 (Link in desc)". Go there and download that version. Copy the Steamworks Fix into its folder and put the api file into Plugins, rename your player in the ini file and try that version - the pirate message should not appear.
You don't use v1.2.17 if you want multiplayer and saving to work. Go back to v1.1.10 with Steamworks fix as described in my other post. I've tried to go into detail and it's horribly complicated. If you're not confident messing about with files (and there is a lot of messing required), you might be better off just putting the 238k api dll into JSB_data\Plugins and starting from scratch if your save data is not loaded. Just check saving works by changing volume and quitting. The time spent messing with files will be longer than just replaying levels if you're not sure what you're doing, so unless you have lots of S-Ranks and coins then maybe start from scratch if necessary. The copying needed is described in my other post but it is a pain. I will look into simplifying the process in due course. I wish I could make the process easier but at this stage it's the best I can do. Good luck!
Known fault. Stick with v1.1 for now until a fix comes out. Or use v1.2 but multiplayer won't work; you will need the straight 1.2.17 download without any Steamworks or Online fix. If you do go with 1.2.17 make sure the api in JSB_Data\Plugins is 1.4M. That version of the api puts your save data in Profiles[steam name] under the game folder. Change steam name by editing steamConfig.ini. Alternatively if you want multiplayer you need to stick with v1.1 for now. You'll need to put the Steamworks Fix into the game folder then copy the api dll into the data \ Plugins folder (238k file size). Change player name in the config file. That should be all you need. Saves go into appdata\LocalLow with this version. Good luck! Yarr harr this is beyond ridiculous... roll on a proper updated fix for 1.2 when we can hoist the Jolly Roger high and proud!
Just delete the steam_api64.dll file from JSB_Data/Plugins and the game will open. But like @jimmy_ac said, the game version is not 1.2.0, it's 1.1.13 so we still need to wait for IGG to do the update. Check SOTP in the comments below if you wish to download the latest version.
So oh, I kinda accidentally disabled the full screen function in the options and now I can't get it back. Anyone know what to do? I've tried deleting and redownloading the files but somehow the size still persists. I am at a lose here.
The screen settings is stored in the Registry. Open regedit.exe and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Berzerk Studio -> Just Shapes & Beats. There, on the right side of the window, find Value name Screenmanager Is Fullscreen mode and double click it. A new window should appear called "Edit DWORD (32-bit) Value", change the Value data from 0 to 1. If you did it correctly, you should have your fullscreen back :P
Thank you for the help, I turns out that I never hit the apply changes option. The window got so small for some reason, that I couldn't see it. I think it might have something to do with the screen resolution, I was messing around with that before turning off fullscreen. Maybe having a low resolution when you disable fullscreen mode will adjust the window size. I don't, thanks for the help. Still don't know why the window size persisted after I uninstalled the files and redownloaded them.
Ah, that's ok. The reason why your window size persisted is because the game didn't store the screen settings in your game folder but rather in it's registry, which is not in the same path as the game itself.
I managed to get the files from the game and I have a working crack of 1.2.17. I have uploaded it here: https://mega.nz/#!OBNTUA6I!6JTOyjDcFD7fMzV93eS5xhTqApksIp0l12Xt0eVFVP8 Also multiplayer worked in the past version with a Steamwork Fix. I still have the one I used before which I uploaded here: https://mega.nz/#!LcVx3SrT!Zrn7MxMtIkB43BUg6xGn_JdWxjARg_pzMcvlztm_UaM It probably still works with this version, basically when you launch the game with steam open it will display that you are playing a game called "spacewars" and you can play with other people using the fix online.
https://steamworks.ga/ There's a Just Shapes & Beats Online Fix. It's next to the Steamworks Fix there. Unfortunately I couldn't get the game to save although the multiplayer did work with v1.2, so at that point I gave up. Maybe someone with better hacking abilities can do something with it.
If I extract the Steamwork Fix on top of the v1.2.17 the multiplayer doesn't work. Going into the Challenge menu and selecting any of the multiplayer options brings up an annoying "This game is pirated" animation sequence. Any idea how to fix it? Thanks!
I'm not getting this problem so I'm not too sure. Try re-extracting the crack and put everything in the steamwork fix in. Also you are only able to join friend lobbies. I haven't tested to see if the steamwork fix actually works cause I have no friends.
Hi, How do I make the game take my previous 1.1 save game? When I overwrite the new one it tells me: Too many bytes in what should have been a 7 bit encoded Int32.
I just overwrote the Profile folder from v1.1 to v1.2.17 and it worked for me. You might wanna make sure your player name in the SteamConfig file matches the one inside the Profile folder though.
The steamwork fix is like a multiplayer crack. You can play with your friends if you both have each other as a friend on steam, have the same game version and steamwork fix. When you make a lobby you can invite them into your game through steam.
The crack is for the hardcore update and if you and your friends have steam you can play multiplayer if you put the steamwork fix in. You just need to invite him through steam after creating a friend lobby.
Something probably went wrong with the updating. IGG is just one man so he probably made a small mistake during uploading or downloaded the wrong file from the Scene Group (or wherever he gets these from). There's even a chance that the update has not been cracked yet, since cracking a game probably takes a lot of time. So it's best that we just wait patiently till the update pulls through.
The save data for this version (as of 2022-03-16) is stored in %AppData%\Roaming\Goldberg SteamEmu Saves\531510\remote
Hope this helps! it was really annoying to find this.

WHYYYY????!!!!
I have one copy on steam and its fine
It also depends on the creators on just shapes and beats if they will allow you to access the level editor. And they allowed me to so I am very grateful and lucky.
I try every thing but nothing seems work.
you are not in a position to demand things
buy the game if you are so desperate
Delete the apis one by one, doing a backup.
if anything go wrong, use your backup to save the game!
go to the profiles folder and copy your profile to the new version!

Good luck!
Basically there's a YouTube video called "Just Shapes and Beats FREE DOWNLOAD 2019 (Link in desc)". Go there and download that version. Copy the Steamworks Fix into its folder and put the api file into Plugins, rename your player in the ini file and try that version - the pirate message should not appear.

The copying needed is described in my other post but it is a pain. I will look into simplifying the process in due course. I wish I could make the process easier but at this stage it's the best I can do. Good luck!
YES MY PC IS OVER THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS!
Finally.
Good luck! Yarr harr this is beyond ridiculous... roll on a proper updated fix for 1.2 when we can hoist the Jolly Roger high and proud!
any help?
There, on the right side of the window, find Value name Screenmanager Is Fullscreen mode and double click it.
A new window should appear called "Edit DWORD (32-bit) Value", change the Value data from 0 to 1.
If you did it correctly, you should have your fullscreen back :P
Still don't know why the window size persisted after I uninstalled the files and redownloaded them.
The reason why your window size persisted is because the game didn't store the screen settings in your game folder but rather in it's registry, which is not in the same path as the game itself.
Also multiplayer worked in the past version with a Steamwork Fix. I still have the one I used before which I uploaded here: https://mega.nz/#!LcVx3SrT!Zrn7MxMtIkB43BUg6xGn_JdWxjARg_pzMcvlztm_UaM
It probably still works with this version, basically when you launch the game with steam open it will display that you are playing a game called "spacewars" and you can play with other people using the fix online.
There's a Just Shapes & Beats Online Fix. It's next to the Steamworks Fix there. Unfortunately I couldn't get the game to save although the multiplayer did work with v1.2, so at that point I gave up.
Maybe someone with better hacking abilities can do something with it.
When I overwrite the new one it tells me:
Too many bytes in what should have been a 7 bit encoded Int32.
THANK YOU SO MUCH x1000
i want new crack to invite my friend
do u understand me? and sorry for my bad english
JSB_Data then go into Plugins and delete steam_api64.dll
