I downloaded a lot of games here the past years. This is the first time that chrome auto-deletes a download with a big fat VIRUS DETECTED warning. I'm staying away from this. I know what false positive is, but as I said, this is not a virus scanner, this is chrome, and this is the first time I get a warning.
maybe you don't download enough to know, chrome always warns like that with most links reported as DMCA or cracked :)), thousands of links here are like that. And it doesn't only happen with games, but also software, and even videos 😅 . If you don't believe, try downloading from another host, for example megaup, mega.nz,... or change IP via VPN (because DMCA also depends on each country), you will no longer see it warning. It doesn't bother to scan the files, you think chrome has built-in anti virus? no, it only bothers to warn DMCA links to scare users, chrome is google's, it's shit.
Yup. Chrome doesn't have an AV, it uses a central database from other AV companies, and AV companies are in the pockets of corporations, hence they'll flag a simple keygen as "malware" even if it does nothing more than create a string of numbers. AV can't be trusted anymore. Community-sources are more trustworthy. 🤷
and since when is chrome better than microsoft virustotal?
