To anyone calling this a walking simulator, it's only a walking simulator because you're missing out on the main point of the game. I would highly recommend buying this game so you can play it online. It's much more enjoyable that way. I'm personally only here to see if the PC version will run on my computer before I buy it (I've heard the latest version doesn't require AVX, but I don't know for sure)
The v1.65 update in Google dont exist, in MEGA needs a password... All Mega Up links are workin Lot of links of the others updates are not workin... And do we need to install every update to work?
yeah, I try that in the other game like mhoj2 and the update will get error, which is the old update is required before installing the other new updates.
does this have a functional crack now? it seems it was updated today, but i dont wanna download everything and have 50% chance of being disapointed the install instructions say it is cracked but it wasnt last time i checked if it isnt cracked, make like the other uncracked games in the site and add a note about it
Yep it works just fine. Just tested it out and the new v1.65 update file contains the codex folder. After the update, overwrite the preexisting files with the ones in the codex folder and the game will function perfectly
so i am trying but there is no crack, evert time i open it, it opens steam, there is no crack folder and no, it wasnt deleted by th anti virus during extraction as its not in the rar folder, same thing for all downloads please fix soon
Sadly the requirements are more than what they should be for an old PS2 game. 🤷 For those that don't have a system that can run this, try Pan-Pan; it's a wonderful game that is similar to Journey, but with much lower requirements—it'll even run on an old laptop with Intel graphics. (If you can afford to, please consider buying it because Pan-Pan is really a delightful game, it definitely deserves it.)
Oh please, who the fuck forced you to play 2 hours of it ? Plus, I mean, you should rather put your comment on the Steam page if you so want to share your opinion of it... Oh WAIT, you can't since you haven't paid for it.
lol i never said it did alter my experience. I just thought it was funny that he's complaining about a game he didn't even pay for. You know, since this is a piracy site and all.
No you did you went from bitching about his complaints to saying he shouldn't complain because he pirated the game, that's what moving the goalpost means.
I agree I don't like platforming games, but this game is not a platformer. Also, the graphics style is extremely barebones. It's the fact you hardly do anything interesting in about 2 hours of play that makes me not like the game. This game was touted as an extremely good game, so I was thoroughly disappointed. What would you say you liked about it specifically (honest question)?
Not much of a game per se, it's more of an experience. Think about it this way. You walk through an Art Gallery. Unless you look at the paintings and appreciate the strokes, the effort, the message behind and your own perceptive opinion about them then the purpose is lost and you just stared at a bunch of meaningless pictures at the walls that made you feel nothing. Ofcourse you would complain once it was over that it was a waste of time and money that you could've used watching an action movie. Some people however appreciated the way it was meant to be. It isn't Hitman where you find creative ways of dispatching a person and that is your reward. The reward in this game is the way the art style, the music, the way your story pans about, the beautiful sceneries and the whole experience makes you feel(which isn't complete till you reach the end) It's not for everyone I'll tell you that. It takes a certain appreciation and wearing your heart on your sleeves to love this game. It is for people who play games beyond the mechanics and beyond the satisfaction of completing them. The people who are driven by story and the emotional roller coaster it bought is what gave this game a lot of fans. tl;dr People like it because it looks pretty, it sounds pretty and it makes them feel a lot of things.
I appear to be in the minority thinking this game looks very simple and not graphically appealing at all. That's not my problem with this game however. The fact there is no real gamePLAY is what disappointed me. For instance, Inside was also very simplistic but at least had actual gameplay. Same for Return of the Obra Dinn. Very simplistic (black&white) graphics, but the gameplay was interesting.Gris looked simple, but beautiful (my opinion) and the gameplay was ok (not great, but ok). If Journey wouldn't have gotten 9s and 10s I would not have expected something special. This game would have been a 5 for me. PS I love the Hitman games. I bought Hitman 1 a month ago or so after trying it out on Igg-games.
The music is pretty good. I have to disagree with you on the art style. I think it's pretty appealing and far from "barebones". This game is also enjoyable with a partner but obviously since a cracked version doesn't have multiplayer, you wouldn't have come across anyone.
I can run Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Far Cry New Dawn, Dirt 2.0, etc on my i7 870 (first gen) with 16GB of ram and a gtx 970, and this game (7 year old) won't work LOL!!!!! Fuck this puiblisher forever! and considering it's 90 minutes gameplay it isn't a big problem I can't run it. Just wanted to try it out.
i would have downloaded this, but this game is one of the very few games i did an effort to actually buy, i'm pretty sure online doesn't work tho, it usually does not
For those having sound issues, change your system audio to stereo. According to http://pcgamingwiki.com this game doesn't support surround sound. Why would you release a game in stereo only? Especially this game?
My audio issue was Center speaker only was causing static/white noise. My fix was going into my surround headphones software. Turning the Center speaker down to 0% volume level. I had no other issues with game from beginning to end after that.

Like few others here i have sound bug too, there isnt anything to update ´cause i use my graphicscard to bring sound to my av receiver via hdmi and graphics driver is already the latest.
Lots of people including myself have this sound issue it's not on our end. This game doesn't support surround sound only stereo. Change your system audio to stereo If you have that annoying sound.
I had already updated my comment to reflect the problem i.e. certain processors lack AVX support. No need to use strong language just because you can't be bothered to read past the first sentence, ok ?
What exactly is the art part? There are many games with MUCH better looking art. Also, there are many walking simulators on Steam. How does this separate itself from the rest? (This is is serious question. I'm actually interested in knowing why)
Not all games are meant to be interactive, gaming experiences. It's a "video game", but Annapurna is actually much more focused on creating an experience. Calling it a Walking Simulator is just showing that you don't understand where this game is coming from.
I don't really mind it. I think console exclusives are way worse than PC launcher exclusives, so if Epic causes exclusives like Journey and Detroit to be ported just so they can grab market share, I'm fine with it coz I get to play the game without buying a whole console for it. I mean, it's either that, or emulation and emulation takes time to become seamless.
"that an exclusive becomes more accessible" How the fuck does an exclusive become more accessible? If you want to talk about accessibility, then exclusivity is a BAD thing. I don't think that's what you meant to say
You're right. This is not what I said. I don't understand how you can manage to misinterpret what I said. A PS Exclusive, is now more accessible on account of not requiring a PS3/PS4 to be able to experience because it was ported on to the PC for the Epic Store.
See that's what i FIGURED you wanted to say but that's not AT ALL what you said. You said exactly the words" an exclusive becomes more accessible" when it's the exact opposite. I kinda figured what you WANTED to say, but still
Yes and there was added context to the words you're quoting, including my previous comment and the sentence after it. An exclusive would only mean a PS exclusive in this case and since you "FIGURED" anyway, I'm pretty sure I was clear enough. You'd have to be dyslexic to interpret it any other way.
Looking at just that comment, not really. But whatever, water under thee bridge at this point. Moving on, so far this was the only console exclusive that Epic secured the rights to a port yes? And it's a small budget indie tittle. I sincerely DOUBT they will be able to do the same for big name tittle such as Uncharted, The Last Of Us or Detroit. Sony aren't idiots, those companies most likely have exclusivity contracts with Sony themselves
You'd have to be dumb to ignore context, but judging by this conversation, I wouldn't put that past you. Heavy Rain releases this month on Epic. Beyond: Two Souls next month. Detroit's been confirmed too. If nothing else, it shows intent on Epic's part and a precedent on Sony's. And it really doesn't matter the size of the studio. Every game that once was an exclusive, that becomes playable on PC, either through coercion by a company like Epic willing to buy the rights or Emulation catching up, is a win for PC gaming as a whole.
The game runs well even on medium spec PC's, but seems to get image freeze at random where the game runs but the screen itself freezes. Requires a relaunch to fix.
Game doesn't start. The Codex folder is empty. Either there's no DRM to crack the conventional way, or there is DRM but it's pre-cracked in the installer with no crack in the CODEX folder on the ISO. Running as admin does nothing. Drivers are up to date. Update : Apparently it's a hardware issue, the game will not work with these CPUs: First generation Intel i3, i5, i7 processor or older (Eg. i7 920, i7 960, etc.) Intel Pentium processors (Eg. G4560, G2030, etc.) AMD Phenom processors (Eg. X6 1090T)
Resident evil.. Or that alien game, Which i seem to have forgotten the name.. Edit: Found it. Alien: Isolation. Now this is the kinda game i'd much prefer watchin someone else playin.
i5 still works, Luckly i've only seen it on AC and this game here would be the second. It's not common but still sucks. Some utter bummers those that made the game.
Same. But i was recommended an i5 from the store clerk when i was buildin my PC. They said it hardly made any difference. But i still picked an i7, Cuz you know.. Just in case.
i would move to i9 but holy fuck thats too much bucks to afford i saved some bucks for 2 years to buy a 1080 ti now saving for that? i am not enough crazy also theres some rumors about some issues about the processor not using all cores on most games
tbh I see no point in improvin or upgradin, If i can get a good 60fps on all games. Actually you are crazy enough for even thinkin about gettin a i9. smh
I'm still on the dwloadin process, Still havent checked yet, But i seen a couple of ppl havin issues startin up the game. Didnt think the game would come with an empty crack folder, Kinda caught me off guard, As i've never seen that b4.
Cause they pay developers to just publish on their client, this is the same as Nvidia GDP and other shady tactics already used by some companies, heck Nvidia paying Epic so magically amd cards have 20% less performance on unreal engine 4 games is also other of that shady tactics. It's ok if you MAKE the game and then publish it on your own launcher, cause it's your property, but paying devs so they use your clunky and horrible launcher ? When it's a terrible product? That's No bueno. Anything that goes against competition without improving it's bad for consumers.
Here I can see a reason yes, I was aware about the low cut they took, but didn't know they went to the point to pay Dev to get exclusivities. Don't get me wrong, I've no plan to support them (I don't even have the launcher) but as my coment under , I was aware just of these point that is, in my opinions, not that big of deal considering all company do this.
Other reasons include the Epic Store being crap in general. Their servers suck, no achivement support, storefront is crap, they don't even have a freaking shopping cart AND if you try to buy multiple items too fast your account gets blocked because fraud
Did, of course not deeply, but the thing I saw still doesn't make sense... If it's for the cut they take ? Well.. welcome to the bisness industry kidz. If it's for the exclusivity ? Well, yeah like any market, where ever we talk about console, region exclusives, or previous shop (like ubisoft, origin, etc...) If it's for the "you don't own your game" ? Yeah, like on steam, you don't own your game neither in dear Gabe N's house. Spyware ? Meh, that's debatable, but I can see the point here maybe. So again, I can get some "real gamer" are against it because, fortnite owner after all, but for the mass of people, I don't see why there is such a fuss about thing that was already done before and that even Steam is not that clean about...
Yeah , as I said about the spyware part, it's debatable By what I've read, Tencent own part in a lot of other things like Discord , Riot, Blizzard... so if you are afraid of Epic because of tencent, you should avoid Discord , League of legend and the whole activision library. Again I'm not trying to prove you wrong, I just don't get the argument if people don't apply it to the other part ( i.e : tencent = avoid discord, League , Blizzard... , Down really own the game = avoid steam, Nintendo... etc) At any rate I don't force you to reply again, I'm already thanksfull for your replies, as I said I just wanted to understand, hope you see no treat in my post. :
well i actually dont use very often discord (pretty much never) league of legend (i dont play that crap) and activision library (when was the last time they did a good game 2010?) you nailed all of them :P do you read minds hehe
Wasn't trying to pitpoint thing to you personnally :P I was just sayin that if one argue about Tencent and genually don't wanna goes to Epic because of that, he should then avoid all the above. You know like a consistency in the actions. At any rate I'm not in Epic and as you said the last good activision was 2010 , but I was still curious about the whole thing, and since Igg (and Disqus that a good way to treat discussion) give me an opportunity, I just tried :) All in all, no matter the oppinion, I hope things will go better soon, for the sake of this industry.
For real though, it's just a launcher. I've used it to play fortnite and like most people I don't care. I'm not gonna lie and say i'm pirating it because of epic games, i'm gonna pirate anyway.
Yeah exactly , hence my question, I don't get why people are mad, it's just a luncher... Sure Epic are kind of b*tch but most of the stuff people complain about, well Steam did it too, we're just used to it 'cause steam is here for a long time now. But I'm not forcing people to engage a discussion or other, I'm just posting here 'cause I don't go in any other comunity haha At any rate, hope people will like the game and still suport igg games
If you are having audio issues , do this : Open the Sound applet from the Control Panel of Windows. Select the default output device and click Configure. Change the audio channel configuration to Stereo. Launch the game again. Found solution on pcgamingwiki source:https://www.reddit.com/r/CrackWatch/comments/bxlsx0/journeycodex/
Just to let you know this is basically a 2 hour walking simulator. I had it on my PS3 years ago. chances are if you downloaded it and played it straight away, you're all but through it by now.
Let me get this straight. So there was an ISO file, You mount it, And inside of it you found a folder named CODEX and it was empty? Edit: This is not the usual stuff bro.
Re-extract the game archive again, And mount the iso once again. Also i forgot to ask, When you start the game, Does it take you to the game page, Or do you get an error pop up, Or just nothing at all? Don't forget to run as administrator.
There isn't an archive to extract. I tried mounting the ISO multiple times. When i start the game nothing pops up. The game is automatically set to run as admin when you install it.
Yeah i just had confirmation. I can't say for sure as i still dont have the game. You could try updating your drivers. And Run the game as administrator.
I would highly recommend buying this game so you can play it online. It's much more enjoyable that way.

i may probably be dead when that happens however :P
so dont bother to download it boys
EDIT: i guess it must be that Additional notes
i am sure if they do this on steam it would be the contrary
just like epic so i dont care :)
ridiculous expensive crap
not good at protecting their stuff (remember the massive hacking accounts a few years ago)
