Sorry but seem game is abandonned, no more forum activity since august 2019 + all steam reviews have " ealy access review" tag. Nothing new since one year look like so EA status is still active IMO.
"mixing walking zombies with runners to separate itself from other zombie games" Isn't that what popular zombie games did already? Dead island, dying light, red dead zombie, dead trigger.. Etc
I would love a game with only walking zombies. No dogs, no runners, no mutants, nor any of that bullshit. Just some old George Romero vibes to headshot my way towards safety. It might sound trivial, but if it had some overly complicated gunplay (pretty much like Receiver) it would be a nice classic horror add-on.
you can play Overkills the walking dead its actually a amazing game especially with friends but sadly people killed it. and skyboud took overkills rights to the walking dead series. but you can still finds games and its so much fun!
I thought it was pretty much Left 4 Dead. Didn't really give it a chance by the time it came out. I'll be sure to check it out next time i get the zombie thirst hahah.
You mention George Romero. Reminds me of Quinton Tarantino's From Dusk till Dawn vampire game. That was a Great vampire game. I wish they would do a remake.
Damn, as a child I used to re-watch Dusk till Down whenever i was about to go fishing to a certain forest with my family. I can clearly remember our parents packing our stuff at the car as we all devour lots of sweets with coffee and milk just before starting the trip. Such simple yet pleasant memories. I didn't know they had a game.
It's really hard to think of a game with such description RE2 is full of dogs and mutants Tlou2 is full of freaks both zombies and human I guess 7 days to die is the closest thing, but still I haven't played it in very long time, so I can't say if the latest updates still only have walking zombies or if they added other types of monsters
There is an old zombie FPS inspired in George Romero's works. It's pretty good. I tend to love the RE games, that is until i encounter the special mutants. They kinda bring me back to reality. I grew up loving B class horror movies, specially zombies, but i can enjoy mutants too. I loved Ash vs Evil Dead, be it movies, games or the netflix series.
The zombie genre is my favorite, although it was abused a lot by amateur producers, still the greatest works were of this genre, from RE2 to WWZ to 28 weeks later, earlier parts of the walking dead, and even the lost in xcom 2
Aucune cinématique pour nous faire comprendre l'intérêt de l'histoire. Réserve de munitions limité. On vous lâche au beau milieu d'une cinquantaine de zombies. .

A bit too joyful for a zombie apocalypse imo, but still a very good entry nonetheless.
