It features a dark and brooding atmosphere with a story of demonic worship so it should appeal to doom metal fans. Unfortunately, the gameplay is not very original and it feels like yet another tribute to early '90's arcade side scrollers. It may not be a bad game but do not expect anything too innovative.
If you are a doom metal fan (I am one too), like scantily clad catgirls with daggers (most FFXIV players), get nostalgic about the early '90's then this is definitely the game for you.

Something about this kind of game is attractive to me. Not necessarily the looks of the characters (although they're great), but the way they're written. It's a different kind of personal and intimate manner in which they interact with each other.
I'd love to get this kind of writing in a somewhat less violent and bloody game.
