I want to play this game with a controller, but normally I can not do it unless I set it on the controller setting on the steam side. Please tell me how to play with the controller.
I think you need buy the game, because data sometimes updated every biweeks. And it's not just having the DLC if you don't update the data, the DLC will be useless Edit : game crashed because you don't have the song data on "that" song

To people still experiencing crashes, you can fix it by editing the valve.ini file in App/Release. Change the contents like @honeyfolkin:disqus 's comment below.

okay, new problem. I only can play 6 levels and they are TRIPL3T, tiny tales continue, Thrash Beat, Under The Moon, VEGAS and Wacky dance ethnic. Because of APELIOTES and tete+a+tete, I cant play any level. Every time the selection goes to tete+a+tete and APELIOTES, the game got crashed. I already any solution from this comment section and still not working. So, any solution? Thank You
I know that I'm probably just annoying you with redundant BS, but I tried this, and now the game crashes when I scroll to "Kodoku no hana". I tried adding "808931=Groove Coaster - Kodoku na hana" under your workaround, but it still crashes. Thank you.

Man I wish this version had all the DLC's . This is one of those few games that buying isn't worth it since they charge so much to get all the content.

não falo sua língua fica dificil espero que traduza esse texto dentro da pasta app e depois release vai ter um arquivo chamado valve.ini abre ele como bloco de notas e deleta tudo de dentro e só colar

These songs are DLCS, but the steam crack make it enable, even without the stage files, It's the reason why the game crashes when he tries to load these maps
The songs that u dont play or click on because it will crash; Tsuki ni Murakumo Hana ni Kaze Shindoe the Ride tete+a+tete And Then There Were None i think there are others but there is a point where u can only click 2 song at a time when searching so i can't go any further but i think "Bad Apple!! feat nomico." will work because it hase a stage file or something it is called and its in the dlc files.... hope this helps a bit for players that did not go through the game that much....
Grind long enough to buy a song in the ingame shop, any song. Once you do the invalid songs vanish. The crashing is because there's no data attached to those songs, so it tries to load something that isn't there.
Fixed(?) Change API in valve.ini to : API = 4.28.51.07 then in game change language in Japanese some song still crash tho idk if 7 day offline limit play still exist or not let me know if it works for anyone else
Just a note for everybody who's saying to reupload/update the game: This game requires a connection to the Steam servers to play. From the Support FAQ: Does this game have an Offline Mode? Yes and No. After activating the game online you can play offline for 7 days. Past 7 days you will need to reactivate the title by connecting online which will reset the 7 day offline play limit. That technically makes this an "Always Online" game, which isn't allowed on IGG. Thus, it won't be fixed. Sorry, but them's the breaks.
So now this page will just sit here permanently, broken and attracting comments "y u no work"? Also, if it permits time-limited offline play, wouldn't eternally prolonging it be as simple as adjusting the system time (if a proper crack is not made)?
The main problem comes from the fact that online authentication is required to even start Groove Coaster in the first place. It needs to ping servers (whether Steam, Taito's, or both) to be "activated" for offline play. If a crack is implemented that spoofs the authentification process, then it might work, but otherwise you're SOL.
Fallout 4 was regularly updated, and so does The Sims. But you can't hope on smaller games this site contents not so much different vs. The Pirate Bay.
Please tell me how to play with the controller.
