Download the .rar files. Create a folde i.e Gold Rush. Extract each file in order into that folder....(if you do not do this in order you will get error messages.) if all if the .rar files are in the same download folder then just click next when it asks for next file. Inside the folder there should be an image file, use something like "PowerISO" to mount onto a virtual drive or burn the iso as an image to a disk. Load the mounted/burned disk drive and install game, make sure when installing you tick the box that says add files from codex folder folder Updates must also be done in order or you will get errors. Yes, but ram might not be enough. I have 8 too and can't run chrome at the same time and crashes after a while. You can increase page file size if you have ssd then no problem, with hdd you can experience hangs every now and then.
when you install place this game version in another C: directory then run the crack- make sure you place the extra files where they belong and move the codec folder and setup crack files in the new directory.... have fun mining with frank!

well if you look in the files in the folder there is a dlc folder but with no data in the folder so i believe all you have to do is download the older version and move the dlc files from there to the new game folder I THINK dont quote me on that haha

Well, please tell me more about the error you get. For me was straightforward. I installed the base game, installed the 1.4.8542 + the crack, installed the v1.4.1.8584 + the crack, started the game and it runs perfect.
I've followed the instructions, and also have the required game version + previous update, but when I try to install the 8584 update it stops at sharedassets1.assets.resS.cdx_newfile and pops up a box that says ISDone.dll at the top" then it rolls back changes and says "Error!". I tried uninstalling everything and starting over from scratch but it didn't work either. rerunning the program after the error only cause yet more errors before the install even begins. I can launch the game, but if I attempt to start a new game, it loads for a few, then crashes. I'm so lost, especially since I can use the 8542 update without issue, yet without changing anything as far as how I do it, the 8584 update just does what I described above.
Well, dunno if it helps, but try to re-download the update from MegaUp link (from there i download it) and try to install it. Also, if you have an antivirus, maybe you should check it if is not blocking the files to get installed in the computer.
yeah, that was my though because I used torrent files first, so maybe its something wrong with that. As for antivirus, wouldn't it have blocked everything, not just one part of one of the updates? (Honestly asking, I'm new to erm....testing, so I don't know much yet)
Well, about the antivirus, no. Basically the setup is like an extractor that first extract the files in a temp folder and then is copying them to the right destination. So if one files gets detected as false-positive in the temp folder, the antivirus will start disinfection process and move that file into quarantine. When it does that, the setup will no longer find the file in the temp folder and will crash with an error or finish in one second. Also, we are not doing piracy here.... we are just testing games :)

i think this will work, move the plugin files from the last update in to the the gamedata plugin file area. it seem to worked for me, just not enough money to buy the stuff yet lol. but not tell me to go to steam to buy it anymore so i thinking it all good now.

The new update introduces a Gold panning bug where the dirt does not stay in the pan when you pick it up. Dev is aware of this and promised a hotfix Friday jan 19. Need less to say this is a showstopper because you cannot progress in the game. The Steam forums are full of complaints about the last update and this issue. https://steamcommunity.com/app/451340/discussions/2/1693785035810604015/ Such a pity. I guess reinstalling without the latest patch is not an option leaving this game dead in the water until it is fixed by dev and re-examined by CODEX.
So not only hasn't Codex FIXED their Broken v1.2.7050 release, but they've now released the next update, which is useless, because you can't install it due to the hash fails from the previous updates incomplete installation... They really dropped the ball on this release...
