The opening screen seemed to freeze but I waited for the program to respond and it did. I am on win 7 64 bit. Seems too hard at first I must get myself a trainer cheat for this. Gonna have to wait a day or so till Cheat Happens posts one.
If I buy a music album I buy the whole thing and shouldn't be forced to plough through tracks I don't like until I 'get them'. To wander through a garden I don't need to plant the thing, you know? Especially when I paid the price of admission. Well I mean Cheathappens premium subscription costs 30 dollars a year. Why would I spend hours of my precious time and brain capacity memorizing positions and movements of enemy sprites?
That's half, if not all the fun in many games. In the good ones at least. This game is a pure joy, but the story and the visuals aren't it's main selling points. I'd read (or listened to) Good Omens while watching Bosch and Goya paintings if I were after those.
I am discussing what are the fun parts of games. Feel free to contribute or ignore it. As far as I'm concerned if someone buys a hammer (or steals, maybe pirates one), he can even beat his own head to a pulp with it. I'm still gonna be asking him about the fun-factor afterwards (if he can still talk about it).
Then you are not actually contributing to a conversation, just talking about what you want. Besides, who is to say the OP is not having more fun if he plays with cheats or not?
The conversation is about cheating in games. I didn't even bring up the topic. But if you want to talk about how to do debate instead, I join you gladly: When people discuss something, they talk about what they want to. It kinda' explains your attitude if you only partake in debates where the other parties tell you what you should talk about. But I tell you, this is not common, neither practical. Do you really want to be like them, and also tell others what they should bring up during a discussion? It may prevent you to hear interesting opinions of others, and it may even make you look like someone with an urge of flapping his mouth, but only derailing conversations, instead of contributing. When I talk, I state my subjective opinion. People always do that. Sorry if I left you the impression that I only tell universal truths. I believe there is no such thing. (see what I did there? I pointed out the subjective nature of one statement. I could have done it with all the others, but that's just a waste of keystrokes - most people are aware of subjectivity) Back on topic: It is indeed pointless for someone else to state if the OP is having more fun this way or the other. I didn't do it either - I was speaking in general. OP can be the exeption! I just don't know why you bring that up if you aren't the OP either. I'm more interested in your approach, as that is a lot more relevant. What games have you played trough without cheating, but enjoyed more by cheating? The vast majority of gamers who I talked to told me they played a lot with cheats as a kid, but never did it again after playing trough some great game without it. Same with me. But it's also possible that this is just a statistical anomaly, and the majority cheats. It's an interesting subject, and I'd love to know if I'm greatly mistaken.
Yes, you should stay on the topic the OP make because he started that conversation. If you want to talk anout other stuff, buzz off and make your own thread. That's proper etiquette on any forum on the internet. If the conversation was about using cheats or not, then you can add whatever was on your mind about it. That's why I won't reply your question about the game I've played with cheats. OT: You did tell the OP "That's half, if not all the fun in many games" regarding he doesn't want to memorize "positions and movements of enemy sprites". So, that implies you don't think he's having as much as you think he should.
Hey man, did you realize this is a site about gaming and piracy? Everything related to it is related to it. That includes cheating, favorite controllers, visuals, a book with a similar plot, copy-protection and so on. Scolding others about internet culture isn't. Luckily, I'm not such an off-topic nazi as some others, to tell you how moronic one makes himself look by steering a gaming related discussion to a debate about internet etiquette. Though it's still fun to see how each of your replies contains none of your personal opinion on the subject, or the slightest hint of reasoning, only argumentum ad hominem fallacy. Look it up - you'd benefit greatly if you knew what it is, and how it is regarded (besides grade-school). But even if I hypothetically accept, that presenting a different opinion on the very same subject the OP bought up (cheating) is 'off-topic', that's a site with 'FIRST!!!' posts! No one cares about off-topic. OT: Again: Subjectivity. I may have suggested that the OP could have more fun in gaming, but I never hinted that only my opinion is valid for every possible mindset. But don't you think you'd be more convincing if you stated your opinion on things instead of standing up for the OP who is absent for almost two weeks? For all we know, he may have seen my point, and may be having fun in gaming he never could have imagined before. The hell with it! What do -you- think of cheating? What's your experience?
Talk about moronic "argumentum ad hominem". But sure, you didn't call me moron directly so that's fine. Dumbass. You want to know why the OP didn't reply to you early? because he didn't comment to discuss about cheating in the first place. You are like this "literal thinkers" that pose to be rational people but can't take a hint. What gives if the site is about gaming and piracy? You are an asshole and people pick up on that very easily.
I only wanted to have a chat about things that interest me, but I wouldn't mind talking about stuff that interests you either. Though the only topic you seem to be interested in, is that I'm a dumbass. Sadly, your observations on this matter are superficial at best, and you also lack a certain spark of creativity when it comes to belittling your fellow commenters. You didn't turn out to be nearly as interesting as you led me to believe initially. Have fun on the internet, you paragon of intelligence, wisdom and kindness!
People are saying it's basically Hotline Miami with angels, demons and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
