Second of all, you realize that Ghost Of Tsushima is a game with an online component that, unlike Helldivers 2, was completely made BY Sony seeing as they own Sucker Punch Productions right? You shouldent need a PS account to play it. The PS account is only for multiplayer. But if you can't find the game at all on Steam. Look up The site instant-gaming.com
I pretty much purchase all games from that site now days. As most games there are allways on the steam sale price range. + I don't have to pay in euros there. If i would pay in euros i would have to pay like 50% extra, compared to what i had to before steam switched to euro only.

Lots of russian scammers there, and the support are lying A-holes who allways will side with the scammers. If you do decide to use G2A, READ really cealfull the desciptions of what sort of "product" it is they are selling, they sell accounts and gift codes, but some times only to certain countries. And make sure that the site dosent try to trick you in to getting the G2A+ subscription. It's a b*tch to get rid of, if you get scammed in to it like i got some years ago.

I don't think those sites will work as what those sites do is sell steam keys. If the game isn't available on steam then how would those sites sell keys for it? And that's just the thing, the game just isn't available on steam in a bunch of countries, period.
Auto Save files are locked inside the game and cannot be loaded. Sup guys, so i just found a temp solution for this. If you go to the save file location of the game (Documents/Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT/"Random Numbers Folder") you should see this https://imgur.com/DYBROGp, select whatever "backup_.sav" that you want to use (does that are locked in the game), and change the name to "manual_.sav". Make sure to use the correct number that follows the other "manual" files in the folder (if you have it like me with a 0000, 0001 and 0002, make sure to change that "backup_whatevernumber.sav" to "manual_0003.sav" now when you open the game you should be able to see that "new" manual save and you should be able to open it. i hope it works for you guys.

This isn't true, I downloaded the TENOKE version first but there were issues with the controller. You couldn't sprint, targeting was messed up, and you couldn't change control scheme. Then I put RUNE crack in from the second comment and those now work. HOWEVER, it looks like they put save games in different places somehow? Or sees them differently, maybe it thinks different steam account. I had a save game from yesterday but I can't access it today, will need to play through the prologue again unfortunately.
Yes, roosevelt2362 mod cleared this up already, but to minimize issues, like searching for savegame location or controller issues, everyone should either buy or go with the newer RUNE upload. It might take some time for some, but the game seems worthy of patience, while it (re)downloads.

PATCH 5&6 not working, until patch4 it was just patch.exe and everything was fine, but since PATCH5 it is a setup.exe --> "hash sum mismatch exe" ERROR
But according to your description, you might have made a mistake... Because patch 5 (v1053.5.0625.1621), there is no setup.exe file -_-!.... Just copy/paste => you installed in the wrong order.
BTW, if you still have the original iso file of RUNE, then reinstall, and install Patch 6 straight from here for faster

runs great at 4k max no upscalers. seen no 'visual bugs' yet. theres also a new Direct X update along with new drivers on nvidia GPUs. for those having blue face b.s. try updating drivers, and killing upscaling methods.

As the mod roosevelt2362 stated in a comment below, copy all patch files into the game folder, except "steam_api64.dll" for the saves to not get overwritten.

Alright, finally tried this game and - surprise - it runs perfectly fine - as I expected! Even on an HDD instead of a recommended SSD - no stuttering, no crashes at all.

77 - 90 FPS @ native 3840 x 2160, highest graphics settings + TAA, no DLSS, no Frame Generation, no Nvidia Reflex
I recommend having at least an RTX 3080/4070 for 1920 × 1080 or 2560 x 1440 (+DLSS) to get some visual fidelity out of this game. It's tremendously demanding, so don't expect a miracle when installing it on a dusty laptop found in the attic or a desktop PC with budget parts inside. It's just like that.
Don't forget to go into all options menus to configure controls, button prompts etc. to your liking! There is an option called "Accessibility", so if you need bigger sized or colored captions, go there. Want to change how button prompts and ingame hints behave? You can configure that as well.
Even better. I'm the type of gamer who never cheaps out on graphics settings, so, before lowering from Ultra to High or worse, I'd lower from 4K to 4K DLSS, then 1440 a.s.o. My suggestion was having a 3080/4070 for Full HD or 1440p resolution at max settings, without DLSS. So, if people are satisfied with playing on low or medium, sure, a 3060 might be enough. I can only assume, having just 80+ fps at 4K, max settings, no DLSS with an RTX 4090, my suggested graphics cards would probably deliver about half the performance - at 4K, which would mean about 40 or 50 fps, which is unsmooth. Throwing DLSS in, the 60 fps border should be surpassed. A 3060 probably is a bit short of compute power to crank settings up to max and get 60 fps stable, even at Full HD.
I'm playing on max graphics without DLSS even with a 3060. But my resolution is 1080p which is my monitor's native resolution, and suffice to say, it looks beautiful.

I have some 1080p monitors here, but my main PC is connected to a 50" 4K TV, where 1080p would make the image extremely blurry/blocky. DLSS doesn't help either. 1080p natively on a smaller 1080p screen is still fine, yes.
Of course it will look pixelated if your monitor natively supports anything above 1080p xD But I forgot what AO I was using, haven't touched the game for days; I do remember there's one more option below HBAO+, don't remember what it's called, some new nvidia stuff, maybe I'm using that one.
I ordered a new - by today's standards - low ass Philips 32PFS6908 TV yesterday, for just 243 € - to finally have an Ambilight screen larger than my 23 and 24" monitors, but affordable. It has a 1080p 60 Hz panel and will be a good match with my older systems and the rarely touched PS4 Pro and XBox One S. Singleplayer intentions, only.
In GoT, HBAO+ is the best quality AO setting available. I don't have it installed anymore and I can't recall the other AO options, but everything below HBAO+ is of lesser quality.
I suggest to stick with HBAO+ for GTX/RTX video cards.
IDM is the best IMO but, its not free without finding some "shody" crack for it which 80% are not safe. XDM (extreme download manager) is free can be found on source forge. perhaps suggest that as an option since most pirates wont wanna spend the 6 bucks. or however much it is now. (got my version 3 years ago) and they still update it. j downloader is another option. another thing, just because a download manager is used doesnt mean the download cant become corrupted. especially if you "pause" the download or have to many going at one time.

The files are intact in all 12 parts. The problem is on the user's side, as it's 95 % of the time, when I read a comment on this site. If people were more open for advice and actually followed instructions, at least half of the games not running would run fine then.

Succesfully installed it, but Windows Defender detected a Trojan in the Game files. Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml to be precise which is used to steal Data. By deleting it, the game stopped working.

im using an amd gpu, rx6600xt to be exact. i have applied the latest patch available and updated my gpu driver. i even tried turning off fsr and other amd settings. i even tried reroll the driver and i still get the dxcg error device hung. do you have any idea how to fix it ? any help would be highly appreciated
if you still have all the downloads, including the base 12 part game, uninstall it, (back up your save folder first) then, reinstall the base game, and go in order. i had this issue with a few other games. and that was the only way to get it going. you also wanna make sure its going to the right folder.
if the update patcher still wont work, just try coping the RUNE or UPDATE folder into the games installed directory. that should get you on the latest version!

your standoff wont work correctly from time to time. and there are a few other bugs thats fixed but still. to answer your question yes, itll work without issues except your standoff bugging out.

after digging into some files, that were located in C:\Users\name\Documents\Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT it would seem Steam is indeed the released version here. however, there is a "note" on the page stating that steams version requires a slight extra step of downloading some "archive" of the game from their page and placing it into the games folder. again, this may or may not work. depending on the latest update version there and if its compatiable with this version on IGG.
So again, ill state that you may wish to have a way to backup you orignal game files, or have the extracted download ready to reinstall if needed be. In any case tho, its upon you to decide how to proceed with your games/files/machine!

I'm having an issue after +_ 5hrs of playtime. The FPS drop horribly from straight 120FPS to 30-40FPS sometime even 10FPS making it unplayable. I've follower the install guide (Update part 2 then part 3 in order,...) , restart my PC many times. And nothing changed, still lag and making me frustrating. Please help me, i need to slay Khan head badly... :(
5800x 4070ti, 32gb of ram and i had slight issues with it doing random things like this but i was not getting 120fps and on 4k res.
but, iirc turning off DLSS helped sometimes. turning off upscaling then back on or vis versa. helped me too. its a game bug that im unsure what exactly is the fix. but i suggest using the Dynamic Resolution Scaling as well, i also had fov maxed out. so, maybe turn that down some.
simply put, adjust until it comes out of it. going back to the main menu helped me sometimes and loading back in.
Usually that error occurs due to one of the following reasons:
Do you have enough hard drive size?
Do you have AV on? Maybe it blocked the crack files during the installation process.
Are you installing to a long path? Windows limits the number of characters in paths, you can see information in google search. Or are you installing the game to a path with special characters?
Are you installing the game to an external hard drive? I don't know why, but sometimes some people still get this error when installing large things to external drives.
If the above steps do not work, try installing the latest version of NET Framework, Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes (you can download it directly from the Microsoft website)

How did you update? You have to run the updater, then copy the files from crack to the installation folder. The update doesn't touch your saves at all.
you dont need to run "the updater" i usually never do. since the "hash" checksum typically makes issues. just copy and paste the crack when its there and go on about your day.
to mrdjul90 check for this location and see if you have this folder with all your old saves, unless you had the tenoke version which im unable to assist with since i have no idea about it. C:\Users\urpcname\Documents\Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT\76586753098675309 the numbers here are not what mine look like, nor will it be yours but the length i believe will be accurate. if this folder is there but there are now TWO folders both with different numbers, copy the one that has the OLDER saves into the newer folder and see if your saves work again.
BACKUP your save file that you have now unless you dont mind if its lost and this didnt work...

Since you have the base game, and mentioned patch 3. One can only assume you already have standoff patch thus why your asking for patch 3?
if so, it would be the same as patch 2. you can use the installer if applicable or (my personal suggestion) copy the files from the patch 3 update (after extraction) into the games main directory overwrite all files it asks you to. You MUST have patch 2 prior to updating to patch 3 sometimes you can get by, but i wouldnt suggest/recommend it.
by copy/paste/overwrite i mean for you to copy whats inside the GOT folder from the crack. not the main folder itself. just everything inside of it. it may often say "crack" so that and any files that may be present inside said crack folder.
you can try online-fix and see if ya can. i see it being a hit/miss depending on who one is. not sure its going to work with this latest update. so id try with the base game prior. and making sure if you update, check what files its going to replace and make copies before hand.
Bc that's the online mode and you are playing a cracked game. Maybe there is an online fix that works, but you can't expect online to work in cracked games lmao
to many files? this has less than borderlands, the witcher 3, or any other big game. if you use a download manager like IDM, XDM, JDOWNLOADER, youll be happier about getting it in parts. steam only opens if it removes the crack files. if you still have the installation from here. i can upload and link the crack to you in a comment here. use at own risk from ANYONE other than the mods. but, itll be directly from the games folders.
If it opens steam you haven't cracked the game. DL all parts, extract, install. DL patch 2, extract, install DL patch 3, extract, install Copy Crack folder contents from Patch 3 to installation folder of the game, replace files. Run the game.

kind of. you couldnt press the standoff button to ready your sword too early or too late. otherwise it wouldnt let you ready your sword. That why it worked and sometimes didnt. once i knew you had to hold your sword about .5 seconds after the button prompt appeared. it worked 100% of the time.

do you have DLSS or upscaling turned on, along with Framegen of any kind? try turning that shit off. and if you have yet done so, grab the latest version. as there is an update. (the links above are not what they initially were. check roosevelts initial comment on the matter about the links bc these are different cracks. (unless you grabbed this within the last week) your good. (if you sort the comments from "oldest" first. youll see what im talking about. not sue if this will solve ya issue. but i dont have this, so... im also not using upscaling methods. just raw 4k maxed settings.

5800x 4070ti 32gb ddr4. no issues, latest patch RUNE version however. maxed settings 8hrs straight now ive played/let the game run while watching a movie when eating etc.
Not for me (i7-9700K, 32 GB DDR4, RTX 4090). Great specs at your's, so I wonder. The game ran for about an hour of testing without any issues on my system. What's your cooling solution? Are your Adrenalin driver and Ryzen chipset up to date? I suggest to lock your fps to 60 via V-Sync or via Adrenalin software, to potentially gain increased stability and have the XMP or DOHC RAM profile activated in BIOS, if RAM clocks and timing are not manually set to their maximum speed. The latest BIOS update might improve RAM and system stability as well. Just some things to check.
You're never forced to use Standoff, you can completely ignore it if you want to. However when upgrades later on you'l be able to standoff against a max of 3 or 4 enemies which get cut down instantly. And in big groups that's super useful

i found out showdown quite good if it's full upgrade. u can kill 3 peoples in 1 showdown and if ur placement is right u can make that elite or hammer die one shot too. but as usual after show down run and do the usual or like me only do it for patrol group.

If Instantgaming dosent work Kinguin or G2A migt work. Tho be awere that G2A is a real shady site. Lots of russian scammers there, and the support are lying A-holes who allways will side with the scammers. If you do decide to use G2A, READ really cealfull the desciptions of what sort of "product" it is they are selling, they sell accounts and gift codes, but some times only to certain countries. And make sure that the site dosent try to trick you in to getting the G2A+ subscription. It's a b*tch to get rid of, if you get scammed in to it like i got some years ago.
I would avoid G2A, but if none other works, then it could be a last ditched chance.
Sup guys, so i just found a temp solution for this. If you go to the save file location of the game (Documents/Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT/"Random Numbers Folder") you should see this https://imgur.com/DYBROGp, select whatever "backup_.sav" that you want to use (does that are locked in the game), and change the name to "manual_.sav". Make sure to use the correct number that follows the other "manual" files in the folder (if you have it like me with a 0000, 0001 and 0002, make sure to change that "backup_whatevernumber.sav" to "manual_0003.sav" now when you open the game you should be able to see that "new" manual save and you should be able to open it. i hope it works for you guys.

The broken TENOKE version and fixed RUNE version are NOT compatible with each other.
Either buy the official one or choose between TENOKE and RUNE.

Reading about gamepad recognition issues makes me hesitate further.
Although I doubt, my original Xbox One Series controller would be incompatible. I even keep this controller updated, not only Windows and games.
(BTW, I own both versions, the files of RUNE and TENOKE are mostly the same, except for the language packs and the crack files, just a few mb)
I got enough games anyway and waiting for patches with typically japanese patience is probably the best advice.
It might take some time for some, but the game seems worthy of patience, while it (re)downloads.

But according to your description, you might have made a mistake... Because patch 5 (v1053.5.0625.1621), there is no setup.exe file -_-!.... Just copy/paste => you installed in the wrong order.

77 - 90 FPS @ native 3840 x 2160, highest graphics settings + TAA, no DLSS, no Frame Generation, no Nvidia Reflex
160+ FPS @ 3840 x 2160 + Upscaling DLSS Quality, highest graphics settings + TAA + DLSS Frame Generation + Nvidia Reflex (On + Boost)
I recommend having at least an RTX 3080/4070 for 1920 × 1080 or 2560 x 1440 (+DLSS) to get some visual fidelity out of this game.
It's tremendously demanding, so don't expect a miracle when installing it on a dusty laptop found in the attic or a desktop PC with budget parts inside.
It's just like that.
Don't forget to go into all options menus to configure controls, button prompts etc. to your liking!
There is an option called "Accessibility", so if you need bigger sized or colored captions, go there.
Want to change how button prompts and ingame hints behave?

My suggestion was having a 3080/4070 for Full HD or 1440p resolution at max settings, without DLSS.
So, if people are satisfied with playing on low or medium, sure, a 3060 might be enough.
I can only assume, having just 80+ fps at 4K, max settings, no DLSS with an RTX 4090, my suggested graphics cards would probably deliver about half the performance - at 4K, which would mean about 40 or 50 fps, which is unsmooth.
Throwing DLSS in, the 60 fps border should be surpassed.
A 3060 probably is a bit short of compute power to crank settings up to max and get 60 fps stable, even at Full HD.
To dial in the absolute highest settings, it needs manual adjustment.
I have some 1080p monitors here, but my main PC is connected to a 50" 4K TV, where 1080p would make the image extremely blurry/blocky. DLSS doesn't help either.
1080p natively on a smaller 1080p screen is still fine, yes.
But I forgot what AO I was using, haven't touched the game for days; I do remember there's one more option below HBAO+, don't remember what it's called, some new nvidia stuff, maybe I'm using that one.
It has a 1080p 60 Hz panel and will be a good match with my older systems and the rarely touched PS4 Pro and XBox One S.
Singleplayer intentions, only.
In GoT, HBAO+ is the best quality AO setting available.
I don't have it installed anymore and I can't recall the other AO options, but everything below HBAO+ is of lesser quality.
I suggest to stick with HBAO+ for GTX/RTX video cards.

uninstall it, (back up your save folder first)
then, reinstall the base game, and go in order.
i had this issue with a few other games.
and that was the only way to get it going.
you also wanna make sure its going to the
right folder.
if the update patcher still wont work,
just try coping the RUNE or UPDATE
folder into the games installed directory.
that should get you on the latest version!
with the main story before a patch
was released. but, i suggest updating
to patch 3 at the least. (going from base,
to patch 1, then 2, and 3 in order ofc.
your standoff wont work correctly
from time to time. and there are a few other
bugs thats fixed but still. to answer your question
yes, itll work without issues except your
standoff bugging out.
check into the version numbers,
and make sure its the correct one.

however, there is a "note" on the page

"archive" of the game from their page
and placing it into the games folder.
again, this may or may not work. depending
on the latest update version there and if
its compatiable with this version on IGG.
So again, ill state that you may wish to
have a way to backup you orignal game
files, or have the extracted download ready to
reinstall if needed be.
In any case tho, its upon you to decide
how to proceed with your games/files/machine!

but, iirc turning off DLSS helped sometimes.
turning off upscaling then back on or vis versa.
helped me too. its a game bug that im unsure
what exactly is the fix. but i suggest using
the Dynamic Resolution Scaling as well,
i also had fov maxed out.

simply put, adjust until it comes out of it.
going back to the main menu helped me
sometimes and loading back in.
How did you update? You have to run the updater, then copy the files from crack to the installation folder. The update doesn't touch your saves at all.
since the "hash" checksum typically makes issues.
just copy and paste the crack when its there and go on about your day.

you can use the installer if applicable
or (my personal suggestion) copy the
files from the patch 3 update (after extraction) into the
games main directory overwrite all files it
asks you to. You MUST have patch 2 prior
to updating to patch 3
sometimes you can get by, but i wouldnt

by copy/paste/overwrite i mean for you
to copy whats inside the GOT folder from the
crack. not the main folder itself. just everything inside
of it. it may often say "crack" so that and any files

- The game will instantly froze whenever I quit, I've tried to wait but it seem not
- I got the crash after sometime playing the game with the reason of graphic driver(already at the latest version) and it want me lower the resolution although the game run super smooth with my current settings.

The game ran for about an hour of testing without any issues on my system.
What's your cooling solution?
Are your Adrenalin driver and Ryzen chipset up to date?
I suggest to lock your fps to 60 via V-Sync or via Adrenalin software, to potentially gain increased stability and have the XMP or DOHC RAM profile activated in BIOS, if RAM clocks and timing are not manually set to their maximum speed.
The latest BIOS update might improve RAM and system stability as well.

you need the original steam_api64.dll

Dateien dieser Größe zudem idealerweise in ein Verzeichnis ohne Unterordner und mit kurzem Namen runterladen, wie C: Downloads. Oder gleich auf ein anderes Laufwerk, etwa D: Games.
