Doesn't work (Windows-10) Running the gstring.exe gives the following error "Setup file 'gameinfo.txt' doesn't exist in subdirectory 'hl2'. Check your -game parameter or CVONFIG setting." Running the launcher.exe changes the resolution of the desktop for a few seconds before going back to normal, asks for network access. My antivirus (bitdefender) is saying that both the gstring and the launcher executables are unsafe due to "suspicious activity". How the hell do i fix this and why the hell has nobody else reported this issue? --I tried to reinstall the whole thing with my antivirus off, same problems.
Found a fix, if you have the same problem do this. Open the smartsteamemu.ini that is right under the launcher.exe on line 3 you will see this: commandline = -game gstringv2 +fps_max 300 +r_radiosity 3 Add "-novid" to the end, it should look like this: commandline = -game gstringv2 +fps_max 300 +r_radiosity 3 -novid that fixed the problem for me.
https://youtu.be/UXCwunLRpGU Didn't knew some game still uses Source engine. The game setting's pretty interesting, dystopian cyberpunk city landscape. Gameplay's similar to Half-life 2, except more depressing looking. Overall, I highly recommend this game. Be warned though, it starts of kinda slow
This only point is because the game work.
