I suck at designing things, but the new Steel Strider craft looks so damn cool that I might just download the game to drive them around in sandbox mode.
Update on the using this games multiplayer: the devs swiched to only using steam servers at some point, and now the only way to play is through steam. It is still posible to get around it though with a steam fix. I downloaded the game here, and got a steam fix from freeTP, and it worked
The multiplayer is broken, when so meone joins the lobby they see it as if nothing is happening, even if the host is moving them from team to team or changing lobby settings
Is it just me that got problems in Ashes of the Empires with battles beeing won, all the enemy volume is dead so the bar only shows my force's volume but there is not victory screen so i just get stuck in battle and can't even end it? Hope they will update it to 3.0.1 , already made a request.
is it just me or does everyone have this issue? all the barrels are like 10x bigger than they should be. so i get gigantic barrels everywhere. should i re-download the game? edit: yeah, still happening, igg please upload a different version where this doesnt happen.
For those having problems with main menus not appearing, try downloading from a different link. I personally downloaded from mega and have had no issues.
well you see, the game does not work when I first installed it, no matter what I did. I went and asked them to reupload it, and now it appears they have done it, so therefore it works now as of 1 sep 2019
As a note, since the game launches through a unity launcher, steam is not required, as is a crack. You should be able to download the latest update and upload it for us without waiting for your hacker to crack it.
Is there any possibility of getting an old version from the game? Im searching for version 1.885 EDIT: Also, if possible, I would appreciate very much if i could get a Utorrent link. Thanks.
same crash problem here too and happen on 4 different built pc so i bet the 2.4.1.10 is flawed , wait for next update maybe (the current update is 2.4.1.11)
Ive gone there but all i get is a list of games that have already been requested and FTD says its been updated, how do i submit a request? Unfortunately i can only use mobile so im not acceasing the website through desktop... Edit: request submitted
This game crashes way too much. It seems to just crash when I click on random things. I click on an option in the menu and it just closes with no error message of any kind. I try to load in an aircraft and it does the same. It's like each click is a step in a mine field.
It's the cracker's fault, they made the crack so it runs in 32 bit, which the game can't run anymore because it takes too many resources to be handled in a 32 bit fashion, you may want to get a program to make it large address ware, it won't completely fix it, but you may be able to do building and retrofitting.
It's not the cracker's fault because this game doesn't need cracking. Either Steam gives them the 32 bit version (though I'm not sure there actually is supposed to be one given how much it crashes) or it's a deal with the devs to provide this version as something of a demo. I have pretty strong suspicions it's the latter since I haven't heard of anyone getting the 32 bit version legitimately.
What are you on about? for a game to get cracked it first needs to be bought, there is no way the person who bought it can't get the 64 bit files since they are in their HDD, also there is a 64 bit one, previous versions of it where on this site and I have one since I recently bought the game.
Really? I tried to share that and it got moderated. Oh well. Anyway that's missing From_The_Depths_Data/Plugins/slua.dll, which is needed for lua boxes to work.
The files will work with every version that uses the same version of Unity. I'd expect that to last a very long time since it's a major undertaking to switch a game to a newer Unity version.
because IGG for some reason refuses to upload the 64 bit launcher, and since this game can't function while using less that 2 GB of ram, it crashes almost immediately. If you want use this: https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/large-address-aware.112556/ It il make the launcher large address aware, won't fix it but at least you il be able to work on your ships.
Yes. And if you really want to fix it, install Unity 2017.3.1f1, make a blank project, change the Mono type to experimental, then build it as From_The_Depths.exe. Then you can copy From_The_Depths.exe, UnityPlayer.dll, and From_The_Depths_Data/MonoBleedingEdge over the files in this download. That runs the game as 64 bit, but breaks lua boxes. To fix those you need to get a 64 bit version of slua.dll and use it to replace From_The_Depths_Data/Plugins/slua.dll. I have all the files but apparently we're not allowed to link such things here so I can't share them.
right, I have done all that, but now this pops up and the game won't run now that said, the only difference is that im using the Unity 2017.4.2, do i really have to use unity 2017.3.1?
Thanks for the updates, but whatever you're doing to the Unity player for 2.2.6 and 2.2.14, please stop. It's supposed to be 64 bit and the 32 bit version included here just crashes nonstop. I actually went and installed Unity 2017.3.1, made a blank project, and copied the player and Mono to the FtD folder. That runs great and doesn't even need the Steam emulator. If you need the files to fix whatever is going on here, I can provide them.
I actually forgot a step. After installing Unity and making the blank project I went to File > Build Settings and opened the Player Settings. Over there you need to change the Scripting Runtime Version to experimental so it uses the new version of Mono. Then build the project as From_The_Depths.exe. Then just copy From_The_Depths.exe, UnityPlayer.dll, and From_The_Depths_Data/MonoBleedingEdge to the game directory.
thanks, it helped a lot, but still, i played Multiplayer with my buddies, and it just keeps crashing because of this problem, we need the x64 bits version, the one that it's supposed to be
The newest version is actually 2.2.10 or something now. Since 2.2 they've been updating way too fast for IGG to keep up. I don't think we'll ever have the newest version here till updates calm down in a couple weeks. As for the crashing, something is up with the Unity player used in this 2.2.6 upload. It's supposed to be 64 bit but the one included is 32 bit non-large-address-aware. The EXE can be replaced by the one for another game using the same version of Unity, but the only one I can think of is Cultist Simulator. That's also 32 bit but large-address-aware so it only crashes in large battles instead of all the time.
Well that is a shame, let's hope they update to at least a fixed version, because my game crashes every few seconds after start even tough i only have a small BB spawned and i have a good rig.
Actually I just realized you can use one of the various utilities out there that patch a program to be large address aware. Find one and use it on From_The_Depths.exe and it's the same as what I have. I only get crashes in battles involving well over 100k blocks worth of ships, and those battles run like crap anyway.
huuum gona check it out, for now i only found a Fall Out 3 one. Might give it a try thx. Edit: seems like it works, FtD is at the moment using more than 2GB of ram and didn't crash yet, i i l go ahead and leave the link for those having the same problem. https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/large-address-aware.112556/
please update to the new 2.121 (I really love the work you people do on this site, best free game site out there) "Patch v2.121 (stable):
[added] Universal data block copy/paste (only in build mode, 'Ctrl+C' when the build cursor is on the source block, 'Ctrl+V' when the build cursor is on the target block)
[fixed] No more freezing in some situation with SubConstructs
[fixed] No more freezing when assigning all unassigned intakes when no ammo controller is selected
[fixed] No more freezing when replacing the initial wood block by a Fortress block in mouse mode
[fixed] Weapons on a piston are now fired when an ACB ask them to fire"
Because 64 bit is faster and can use more system resources than 32 bit, also 64 bit is basically standard now and any machine that can run the game itself will run a 64 bit operating system
Estimado podrías borrar lo que la señora Soraya Castillo puso en edta página en contra de Isa Berrios hace 2 alos atrás, ya que no se puede borrar desde google.
I get crash report after starting the game : ERROR: SymGetSymFromAddr64, GetLastError: 'Attempt to access invalid address.' (Address: 00007FF77F971749) I tried to make up something with 1.97 ver but no success .
I get this really annoying crash report whenever i stay in the designer for too long, and suddenly physics stop applying, so I get ships which stay at a constant speed, if I try to aim with a weapon, it will follow my cusor instead of predicting for the enemy, but missiles still work okay for their detection
Upgrade your OS, or PC, you Can't Play today Games with 32bit son, Google it. You need x64 to play most games, and THIS one in particular. Because x32 limits you to 4gb ram.
My OS used to be 64 bit, until my older sisters took my laptop WITHOUT MY PERMISSION to format it at an electronics store(my sisters are stupid so they don't even know how to format a pc) and basically the idiot at the store made my laptop 32 bit,but he also made it windows 8.1(before that it was windows 7) and windows 8.1 is way better, uses way less RAM...but still,32 bit? srsly?good thing i'm getting a gaming laptop soon
downloaded this, would't work switched to running it as admin with compatibility for windows 8 and it ran fine (with frames capped at 60) (downloaded this on Friday and gave it to my friend)
Yea, I got a similar if not the same issue as you do and can't find anything to fix it. It's a pain. Might just be something about the version of windows we're using or something.
the latest version might be corrupted or something? "Error readObject reference not set to an instance of an object at Mod.setup() [0x00000] in ......." what? how do i fix that?
If your game is crashing on startup, just don't press any key when you start the game, don't skip the cutscenes and wait on the black screen (DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTON,JUST WAIT FOR IT TO SHOW THE MENU)
Guys, this is the April Fools version. To fix just grab the DWG folder from the old 1.923 version from "From_The_Depths_Data\StreamingAssets\Blueprints\Neter" and copy it into the new version's folder. I think to fix the faction colors of GT ships you have to go into the world editor, i haven't checked yet.
I do get that it is a joke, but it is kind of a bad one since "1.8838" would be before the current version of "1.884." But yeah I get what you are saying. :)
I wasn't complaining I was just getting annoyed because I keep requesting the 1.88X updates as they come out, but they are coming out faster than I can request them. Up to 1.884 now...
Hey guys, them creative people out there should post pics and links of their designs on here so that others can take them and possibly use them, or just learn from them. By links I do mean download links of the .blueprint files.
When it updates could someone respond to this comment so that I know it has updated? My phone vibrates every time someone responds to one of my comments, and it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'll see if I can do something...

that said, the only difference is that im using the Unity 2017.4.2, do i really have to use unity 2017.3.1?
And it's still in .14 and cracked for x32 bits, while the game is for x64 bits.
PLEASE UPDATE <3
