wtf is this, when using the search the space-shooter (correct one) shows up but once clicking it you'll get necrolancer and looking at the screens it isn't even remotely connected =/
There you go, I dug these up regarding Freelancer. I do remember that you need to search for a font called Agency FB if you find in-game letters too big (that's what the CD setup did for you). http://www.mediafire.com/file/5paxwr0oia8bwby/Freelancer_Clean_Retail.rar/file http://www.mediafire.com/file/wu6am68aota8idu/Xtras.rar/file http://www.mediafire.com/file/wssccy4keqbw457/Shattered_Worlds_Single_Player_Mod.rar/file http://www.mediafire.com/file/0nyfqpolnpeaevw/Shattered_Worlds_Final_%2528OpenSP%2529.rar/file File names are self-explanatory, the clean install lets you play vanilla right out of the box. Extras contain tweaks like higher cruising speed and better ring docking iirc. The single player mod supports campaign and you can complete the game with interesting equipment and later you might override it with the final version of the mod that still supports commands (most importants are park [ship_name], drive [ship_name], xfer [ship_name], hitch [base_name], base [base_name] but it's well documented in the README) and start saving up for those capital ships! edit: Extras also has a bunch of useful stuff I gathered during my playthroughs (just checked), like a save editor, navigational data mapping jump holes, valuables wreckages, base locations, commodity info, valuable trade routes and such.
All files are archives that are meant to be extracted with a .rar capable compressing software based on the range of features you desire. The first is the base game, which should go into your folder reserved for games. The second are extras meant to be placed within the game folder. If an .ini file wants to overwrite its doppelganger, you're placing it right. Extract this last if you wish to use my tweaked settings. The third is a mod that is designed to work with the vanilla single player campaign. Extract it to the game folder. (It should overwrite the main .exe iirc.) The fourth is a much newer version of the very same mod. It is meant to be installed on the top of the previous ONCE you FINISHED the campaign to provide a complete free roam experience. Note that I might be unable to provide detailed instructions, since I could not make audio work on Windows 10 and gave up on Freelancer.
this was such a cool game back in the day... now the servers are dead, and singleplayer has only that much content... it was cool to fly with the titan ship.
Also, I'm surprised to know this game has not made its way to GOG just yet, despite fan demand: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/freelancer

why when you click on freelancer its leads to an atlas reactor?
when everyone quits, noone plays.
crossfire, discovery, SP mods, all are awesome.
i wish the "fully destructible universe" mod would be developed further.
