I noticed some steam games Like gunclub vr said incompatible headset and I was not able to pick up the gun when it fell on the floor I hope development teams will be able to patch these errors.
Man I know how u feel, but vr games need to be developed for vr else the quality of scaling, depth perception, and controls will be always a bit off. That's not to say that some originally desktop games aren't fun or good in vr, Payday 2 is an example of a game that translates extremely well in vr even with all the issues that a port may have. Unfortunately, vr sets are still very costly hence not many people can afford one and can be frustrating to witness really good games being locked behind such expense. The only thing that I can say is that vr is really really good, and for me it was worth the investment even though it skint me dry. I'd recommend to steer away from Oculus though, I love the fact that the headset is light on your head and the touch controllers feel amazing, but the software and company at its base are horrible to say the least; to get 360 tracking you'll need a whole bunch of hardware add ons that will make the base price skyrocket immediately after your purchase, it will not work without an SSE4.2 CPU even though it doesn't need one and it will eat up CPU power to send personal info to Facebook (and even more issues but I'm not gonna list them). HTC Vive is more costly but plug and play, no headaches whatsoever, second hand won't matter because the headset is sturdy af. Also without the extra hardware needed it comes to about the same price as an Oculus cv1. you can run loads and loads of vr games with a low entry I5 4cores 4threads @3Ghz and a 1050ti, just not all of them and not with exceptionally good graphics, though in vr graphics aren't as important as on desktop. If you wanna make the leap, let me know and I can guide you through the cheapest and best solutions.
and heres the best part. If it works on a controller its super beyond simple to setup a K/M. the hard part is when you get to touch controllers like nuckles/vivething/oculusthing coding this shit isnt hard. its just lazy to NOT have it
