@For newbie: Don't forget crack before launching the game (otherwise you will get the "no license" error). By doing one of the following:
Method 1: before installing the game, check the following box:
Method 2: or after installing the game, open the iso file, copy everything in the "RUNE" folder, then paste them to where you installed the game, enjoy ;) (see tutorial image here if you still dont know: https://igg-games.com/how-885614657-to-install-game-and-update.html)
Just my personal changelog, with the differences between version 1.0.5 and version 1.0:
Updated -Handling - Now I can zip through Eau Rouge flat out (previously, the car barely turns while accelerating).
Not Updated -Graphics - It's still trash on AMD GPU (much like any other goddamn Unreal Engine game, but even worse), even on maxed settings. I mean, c'mon! Why is it so ugly even with everything on Very High? Textures appear blurred and antialiasing doesn't work. -Driving - Turning is still clunky on controllers. While pressing analog just a bit, the car steers slowly and then steers faster. It feels like I'm playing on a keyboard instead a controller. -Bugs - Not fixed. Vibration is still activated on race start, even though I turned it off. -Difficulty - Not adjusted yet. In 60's history mode, I can win the first race way too easily, while the second race is just impossible because AI is too aggressive and keeps pushing me out of the track and against the wall, damaging my car.
Little game with charm in terms of visuals but with problems Good Visuals Tracks are fun Tire degradation Some fuel strategy Car can take damage so one might want to be careful (damage wich can be reapired on pit stops) Bad Handling is weird The sensation of the cars doesn't change much between eras Ai is bad No splitscreen
