"Unafraid of homosexuality"? It wasn't like that at all! The rulers groomed men to be bisexual by manipulation from childhood so when they fought, they would be more apt to fight harder for their gay lovers on the battlefield. It also kept them from being depressed over a woman they left behind at home. It's all for manipulation and purposes of murdering other human beings. Nothing positive about it.
Oh please. The ENTIRETY of ancient Greece was pro-homosexuality, the Spartans were no different. The "grooming" was just the fucked up way Greek education worked; teachers would take pupils as lovers and companions as part of their 'education'; it wasn't exclusive to the process of training troops. Making warriors gay wasn't a conscious effort the 'rulers' undertook for the purpose of murdering other people; there's plenty of fucked up training regimes and culling that takes that cake. Their bisexuality was a byproduct of the culture they lived in, which was quite sexist and considered relations between men superior to those between men and women, which were seen as little more than a 'necessity' by some. I don't think you know that most historical accounts of things that have happened in the Bible have now been validated by archeologists. The places, the beliefs of the people in those places, the details of culture, all validated by modern science. Look it up. The Bible Is a historical book backed up by historical documents.
I don't think you realize that the Bible often deeply and flagrantly manipulated the real events, places and cultures it made reference to, and let's not even mention the countless completely fabricated or misconstrued events and 'acts of God'... Even the worst historians of ancient Greece have more reliable accounts of events they had little to do with than 90% of the stuff in the Bible.
