Just finished it (after replaying also To The Moon) and seriously there should be more games like this out there..., if you have the money consider buying the game, these people deserve it all
sadly, it's not. there is a dialog box said : "Script 'Steam API' line 4: RuntimeError occured. And then I downloaded steam_api.dll from internet, now it says : "Must be launched from steam" or something like it. And I found picture below in another comment (https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/3f642143adb980a207da62df48a48c19fdd1d2d159351d9dc45553ad6e3c1d66.png) the files waas different with mine. It has 'Launcher.exe' , some steam emulator maybe. Why? Am I downloaded the wrong files? I choose download from google drive for your more infos
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo this game, I mean the first one... was so good, sadly i dont need to find paradise, i'm more in need to find myself :/
Although not necessary, if you want the full experience of To The Moon series here's the chronological order: ~ A Bird Story (Prequel of To The Moon) ~ To The Moon ~ Finding Paradise I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do :D
Do any of you guys happen to know where the save files are located? They aren't on the main folder nor in Appdata. EDIT: Never mind, found it. It's under C:\Users[User]\AppData\Roaming\Finding Paradise - Freebird Games
Most of you are probably thinking "Oh no.. not another RPG Maker game." If you've played To The Moon, you're probably downloading this right now, and also purchasing it to support the developers who actually DESERVE your money. But if you haven't, please get To The Moon, play it, cry a bit, then work your way to this game. To The Moon was a masterpiece, and if you like games that have actual care put into them, you'll probably support them too, like I did. One of the few and far between games I actually paid money for, since most developers nowadays do not deserve your hard earned cash. These guys do. Worth every penny.
What do you mean what do I mean? I think I made myself quite clear in my statement. You'll note I said "most of you" in regards to a popular opinion regarding RPG maker games; most people think RPG Maker games are shit. This is a pretty well known opinion. Nowhere did I say To The Moon is unpopular, or suggested otherwise. I even mentioned they would probably already be downloading this when they recognize it's from the same creators. But in the off-chance someone didn't play it, I said that they should give To The Moon a try. Pretty simple set of statements. Be less reactionary, and try reading the comment again.
Your statement implies that RPGMaker games' notoriety overshadows To The Moon's reputation, which is untrue. Yes, both are widely known, but the latter is more prominent. If people think RPGMaker games are shit and don't know To The Moon, they wouldn't browse this page in the first place. At most, they would just look at the screenshot and close the tab, the comment section is way below.
Now you're grasping at straws. You misunderstood what I said, and so now you're suggesting that there was some sort of secondary insinuation behind my statement suggesting To The Moon is overshadowed by a common trope. As far as people browsing this page, I clicked on it myself without knowing what it was. You do realize the thumbnail does nothing to suggest this is an RPG Maker game, don't you? I was going to dismiss it myself after arriving on the page before reading it's from the To The Moon makers. And so, this ties in to what I said in my comment. Likely if someone has read it to be from the same maker, they're already downloading it. If they haven't played To the Moon, then they should. Whether or not they managed to get to the comment section isn't really something I care to consider, and is frankly stupid. It seems you're new here though, because people come to the comment section on this site often, if not to complain about how much they hate games and why people shouldn't like said game. My comment is hopefully to convert some people if they're weary of RPG Maker Games.
Most people browsing this page come from the Steam store page which has screenshots; frequent browsers of this site is actually the minority. Most people who loved To The Moon already knew Freebird Studio had been working on Finding Paradise thanks to the pre-release hype, no idea why you didn't know. Guess I'm just new to the idea of fan of To The Moon not knowing about this game months ago, like most fans did.
Lol, interesting how you took issue with my use of the word "most", despite it being correct as far as tropes go, then turn around and pull this. So you know the browsing tendencies of "most" people who browse this site, do you? You also know what "most" To The Moon fans know as well. Hilarious. Unlike my use of that descriptor, yours is completely made up, pulled out of your ass in order to try and salvage your argument. Though calling your stance an argument gives you more credit than is due. You have no clue what people on this site do, or how they arrive here. Pretending otherwise to try and save face is honestly embarrassing. It's kind of endearing really, but this is where this stops. You're clearly the type of person who needs to be correct, regardless of how blatantly wrong and out of line you are. You see, most sperglords that criticize comments typically do so when they don't like someone's negative opinion on something they like. But you, you're special. You're the first person I've ever come across who held issue with me actually making a compliment. Then went out of their way to try and wiggle around being too dumb to understand the compliment, and instead of admitting your mistake, you decided it best to simply keep digging yourself an even deeper hole. It really takes a certain breed of person to behave in this manner. You really need to sort your life out if this kind of discourse is what keeps you going. While it was interesting watching you try and dodge your way out of this, I can see this will not be going anywhere anytime soon. Blocked, and take care.
Freebird games is well known for using RPG maker to the next level. They must have good coding team to create an awesome script for many scene. I remember they making To the Moon or something like that. That was their first RPG maker commercial release game.
The game's not showing any of the dialogue or names. I assume my computer's missing a font or something but I have no idea which one? Edit: Nvm, it was times new roman. Not entirely sure how my computer didn't have that, but if you have missing text reinstalling that font should fix it
