The game just released, plus its size is quite big, so the torrent might be slow (or looks like stuck) at first. It should get better after about 30 mins - 1 hour, be patient.

Help me seeding this after downloading guys ๐Ÿงก

I play my games on a GTX 1650. I'm eager to play this, but I'll have to await for the legendary Modders to do the Devs's work, and make the game run on GTX 1650.
With this stupid limitation, the Devs blocked hundreds of thousands of players around the world that still use GTX Cards, from buying the game. ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿผ

Alan Wake 2 also had a similar limitation, but those Devs were smart enough to patch the game for GTX users.

The game uses DX12 Ultimate and shader model 6.6. GTX cards do not support this software as they are too old and underpowered for modern gaming. Like it or not, much like with consoles, you need to update your CPU and GPU to play newer games. You cannot expect old and outdated architecture to work forever.

At this point you are in the minority for hardware specs and you are not their priority. They prioritize toward where most of their money would be made. Upgrade, or move to console.

99% of the people that complain don't have a system that is strong enough to run a game like this. They still think games of 2025 are going to work on pcs made back in the mid twenty tens. They're OK with upgrading their consoles every 10 year, but not okay with upgrading their PC's every 15 and expect all games to work as if they were made 15 years ago lol.

Gonna have to hope for Nexusmods making a workaround on RTX Cards because I still run GTX and at the moment can't even upgrade to RTX anytime soon. Could also get a config.ini that stabilizes the game so check Nexusmods people. Not affiliated with them but just giving some insight. But anyways let's go!!

It's not affecting as many people as you might think. GTX cards are in the minority at this point. The 1650 in particular only covers about four and a half percent of the PC market. The most common cards at this point are RTX cards.

It sucks.

Times are changing and games are ever evolving but to have it happen to a game i really wanted to play sucks.

I know right?! SE blocked almost half their consumers because they wanted to be the idiot embracing the future first. Nothing wrong with it but they might've just shot themselves in the foot.

Yeah, NexusMods is gonna be the way forward if they can hopefully resolve the RTX/GTX issue. Or SE could release a patch when they find the sale or refund numbers dwindling or being either too high on the latter.

I didnโ€™t even know about Alan Wake 2 having this ๐Ÿ˜…

One revolves around beta testing unreleased games, the other is testing websites and various other things.

Why did they make a sequel to a remake. Just make a whole new game and stop wasting everyone's time. Next Dead space is going to have 3 little games separate from the remakes. Just make a new game and/or continue the story with better gameplay. controlcv gar.baage

This is in no way a waste of time for anyone because despite the fact you may not want to play it, there are people out there who obviously do. Go play something else and stop wasting everyone's time with this sort of comment because it makes no sense. You're just being cynical for the sake of being cynical.

They wanted to do a full remake of a game that had a shit load of content on 4 cd's. The only way that they can do that, stay true to the source material, and be good to the fans of the game is the create three games that showcased the original broad scope of the original. They could have chopped it up, like they did FF7: Original, but if you're gonna do a remake and expand on your original vision, I would rather them go full ham and create over-top-masterpieces that pays perfect homage to the original.

Yeah, even the people that enjoyed Remake said this one is worse for a variety of reasons. Mainly that the combat is worse, the story is worse, it's less faithful to the OG, sidequests are not only bad but they take too long, game focuses too much on the Costa Del Sol section. Basically, to most people Rebirth feel like a parody while Remake feels like the OG except better looking.

The game play is practically the same as the remake. They added a mechanic so you could do team attacks, otherwise the battle system is exactly the same.

The story is meant to be different and I can't really say any more than that because it would spoil the story. This game is not meant to be the story of the original, and they make that very clear in this game. The people that don't like this game because of the story, is because they think it's a 1 to 1 remake when it's not... it's a completely new story. This all comes down to square Enix being stupid and calling the first part of this series Final Fantasy 7 remake. It confused people into thinking it's a remaster instead of a completely new story. There is a very defined reason in the games as to why the story is different. Even in Final Fantasy 7 remake, there is stuff that goes out of its way to show you that this is not the original game's story if you are paying attention and if you're reading the context clues, you can pick out what they are gonig for with this series.

If people can't accept that this is not the original Final Fantasy 7 just being retold, that's on them. It's not meant to be the original Final Fantasy 7 remastered. This is its own story, separate from the original game.

I will agree with the complaints about Costa del Sol however. That place is the worst part of the game by far and it's because it's hours of doing nothing but being forced to play mini games to progress.

At the end of the day, I will say what I always say in this situation. Use your own judgment instead of having other people tell you what to like or not like. If I listen to the masses, I wouldn't be playing through half the games I do. Final fantasy 7 on the PS1 is one of my all time favorite games and Final Fantasy 7 remake series is very close to some of my favorite games overall as well. That comes down to my own personal judgment and not what others are telling me to think about the game.

From what I've seen it's mostly the combat animations people have issues with. Like in Remake, every hit had impact and you felt the impact but in rebirth, it's like your party members are literally hitting air and swinging like a headless chicken. Regarding the story...if they wanted to tell an original story, then why make it a FF7 game and not it's own thing? Why not make something original like Dirge Of Cerberus or Crisis Core? You know, set in the same universe but be something new, not an old story told to you again in a different way. To me, it felt like I was listening to an old man with dementia trying to tell me a story but can't remember the details so he just makes it up as he goes along. It's not it's own story but it's not the original story either.

The story to Final Fantasy 7 remake in general is a multiverse story. That is why it is not the same as the original. They are literally on a completely different timeline and you literally jump timelines in this series. This is not the original Final Fantasy seven, it was never meant to be the Original Final Fantasy 7, it was always a multiversal story that takes place on a completely different time line where things happen drastically differently. That's the whole point to the whispers in the first one, and if you read into the subtext, it's the type of thing you realize because the whole point of the first game is about defying destiny. The whole point that we see Zack at the end of the first one is because it's not the same timeline as the original.

The multiversal aspect plays into the story.

Why is it a bad thing that they use one of the most popular Final Fantasy games to do this? It lets people play modern Final Fantasy 7 that tells an original story and doesn't touch the original game. If you don't like the modern Final Fantasy, that's fine. To say that it shouldn't happen or it should be a different series doesn't make sense because it is a multiversal story. It's meant to be in parallel to the original Final Fantasy 7...

That kind of storytelling device is not only cliche, it's a played out and TIRED cliche. How many of those kinds of stories came out last year alone, not just in videogames but in media in general? I'l tell you, too many. Why is it a bad thing they used FF7 for this? Simple: Nostalgia bait. Plus it makes the naming convention not make any sense whatsoever because it's not a "remake", it's something else. I maintain my opinion that it should not exist in the way that it currently does. If they wanted to use these characters and universe again then they should have told a completely original story and not just the original story but Cloud went left instead of going right when he exited Midgard, because that's what the story boils down to. And saying that it's because of a multiverse is no excuse because multiverse stories have a HUGE tendency to ruin franchises because companies that don't have experience with the concept don't know how to properly use it

I still don't understand why this upsets you. It seems like you are upset because they are not telling the story you want them to tell...

If you don't like it, then don't play it. There are those of us who do so let us enjoy it and you move on to something else. The original still there, the original hasn't been hurt, and this is a new experience for those of us who want it. It's a win all around.

I would personally be upset if they would have done a 1 to 1 copy of the original. What's the point of that? The original already exists and has been remastered time and again.

Besides, there's a hell of a lot worse to complain about with the second installment in this series over the story. So much more...

Honestly, apart from them screwing with the story, I actually liked Remake. But this... abomination... So Remake at least kept you on a path so interesting things were always happening. This takes the "open world" approach. But an ubisoft open world. Find radio tower, go to listed sites, complete mini game, return to area hub. Rinse and repeat over and over and over. And its ugly as hell to boot. In game, due to the poor lighting, your characters look like Fortnite characters.

I love that I'm not the only one that made the Ubisoft reference in these comments. I don't know what the hell they were thinking with that. If they would have did as they did with the first one and kept it more story focused instead of Ubisofting it, this game would have been so much better. I liked the game for the story, I hate the game for them making it like a Ubisoft Open World game and just the sheer amount of useless mini games. At least I know I don't have to worry about the mini games on a second play through because most of them give crap rewards. The card mini game throughout the whole series is worth going through though because that one actually has an interesting story to it.

See, that's the thing I figured most people would complain about but I've heard no one complain about that so far, only the other stuff I listed on my other comment. I mean, the original is always there to play. This new game coming out doesn't affect the original in any way. I've never understood that logic when people will say stuff like childhood ruined because they messed with a sequel or a completely different story with the same name. The original is still there, childhood not ruined. The new game doesn't have anything to do with the old and one does not affect the other.

I won't go into big details on it again because I responded to one of your other comments vaguely explaining things in a non spoiler way because I don't want to spoil the story for people who do not know the story. I think it's important that people understand that this game is not supposed to be a retelling of the original, it is its own unique story that takes place outside of the original on the PS1. I've given hints on what the overall theme is and I don't think it'd be too impossible for people to figure it out from stuff I've said in these comments, but I don't want to come right out and say it just because I don't want to spoil the obvious difference from this to the original and the fact that they are not meant to be the same game or the same story.

I would welcome a Vagrant Story with updated visuals and audio, but that's about it; it doesn't need anything else because it's perfect, truly one of the greatest games ever made. Knowing SE however, they'd very likely give it the Kingdom Hearts treatment, mess up the entire story and turn it into an anime cringefest because that's all they can do these days.

I am personally a huge fan of Final Fantasy 7 remake, but rebirth is subjectively worse. It's not because of the game play, that is practically the same as it was in Final Fantasy 7 remake. What makes this worse is that the Ubisoft the world. What I mean by that is the map is littered with little things you have to go and collect and do on the map to the point that you're doing that more than you're actually progressing the story. This game is 120 hours or so if you grab all that stuff and it's just a huge time waster. Most of the rewards you get are not worth the effort they take to get.

The sheer amount of mini games are terrible as well and you'll be spending another 20 hours alone on those stupid mini games if you want the top prizes, which once again is not worth getting most of the time because you'll have dozens of the same rewards already.

It's the unnecessarily large maps with all of the collectible points of interest that annoy me the most with this game. It makes the game longer than it needs to be and really wears on you by the time you're done with it. The bad thing is, if you don't do that stuff then you struggle to get through the game because you won't have the levels needed for the story fights. So it's basically a bunch of forced fetch quest that are not enjoyable to do. I don't know what they were thinking turning this into an assassin's Creed game with tons of collectibles, but that was the biggest mistake they made.

Without spoiling anything, there are 4 big map areas you have to deal with and each of those map areas have 40 different points of interest to go to If you want various things like your summons, side quest in general, experience levels, and so on. The later maps get to the point where they become clunky and messy to get through, which just slows down the process.

For me, the game play is great, the story is great, all of the unnecessarily large amounts of mini games and points of interest on the map bring this from a 9 or a 10 down to a 5 for me. It gets tedious and not fun by the time you're at the end of it.

The game overstays its welcome.
