If you go on Nexus Mods, a guy called NeonOnionKnight has been working to replace the game's sprites with those from FF: Record Keeper. As of this post date, the Onion Knights and the Wind Crystal jobs have been done. I would post a link, but I suspect it would anger the gods.
Search 'How to fix that awful font in the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster games on PC' I'm going to try this one given how there isn't any other 2-D version of 3 besides the NES. My bar is pretty low after seeing the stuttering fps and tearing on FF1. Damn. Follow up: game has a weird anomaly. When you fly in the airship the game goes into mode 7. And in mode 7 the game loses its micro-stutter and has the full glossy fps. I just stared at the screen saying "yes, that please, but everywhere else. thank you" Otherwise, I'm okay with this one. Like I said ^, there is no other 2D version of this game. So at least I can say, yes this is better than the NES version. And good riddance to that drawn out NDS intro. Give me my jobs now, not two hours in.
Shot in the dark: I think your anti-virus software got a false positive and deleted some part of the game's crack. There are also youtube vids that address that error.
i don't get why people like the 3d version so much, it has a weird art style, and weird changes like adding 4 protagonists that have barely any personality or dialogue i'm happy we got a remaster of the 2d game.
Wow... never really played that game, but the second Screenshot sums up the complaint that ProJared had, when it comes to needing a specific job for specific encounters. And basically, that you need a Dragoon for this boss cause Jump is absolutely needed.
This was an extremely limited set of cases, I don't really remember any others beyond Garuda and even that was more of a tutorial on why not being on screen isn't as worthless as you might think the first time. The NES and DS versions were excellent.
There is also a point wher your party needed to be small, so you had to use a group of magic users in order to do damage. Or a place where some enemies can only be killed by the Mystic Knight. I don't know, I've tried the NES version (since I like to play around with old games like the first Dragon Quest), but FFV does the whole system already much better. The world in FFIII seems interesting tho.
I modded the shit out of Final Fantasy III into a thing of beauty. Damn you, SquareEnix for making us do YOUR job.

I don't get why wouldn't they release it instead of the 2D one
/s
Old is good but new can be just as good or better.

tbh they should have done something similar like trials of mana remake
but not the mobile version models, those are awful
