Seems like the game didn't crack. It consistently triggers a warning from my Steam - something like ' Not Allowed' - and cannot open up. Anyone help please?
Unlike a legitimate game that uses a built-in interface or a language setting within the Steam network, for a cracked game, the language settings are changed within a text file.
You would need to go to the installed game's folder and try to find a text file that is called either "steam_api.ini", "steam_emu.ini", "settings.txt", "settings.ini", "language.txt" or any file with a file extension of ".ini" (Like possibly in this case, "RUNE.ini", since this is a Scene release by the Scene group "RUNE") or "txt" (Search in any subfolders, if necessary) and then open it with Notepad.
Do a search for "language". If found, set the value to a language that is supported by the game (eg. language = English, language = SChinese or language = TChinese), save the change and then run the game.
Using steam_emu.ini to change language but still doesnt work, any other suggestion ? since the other ini file except this, i cannot locate it in the folder
Create a shortcut to FateSamuraiRemnant.exe, then add a space after the shortcut's target and type 3, 3 is Chinese, 0 is Japanese, and 1 is English. If you need Korean, Still add a space after the shortcut's target and type 3 and select it on the main screens“功能”“設定”“游戏設定”“文字語言”and select third one“韓文”
If you are running windows 10 you should try looking if the saving is blocked by the antivirus , search virus & threat protection then go at protection history and see if at protected folder access blocked is the game folder, if it is you click on it and choose allow on device . I for one needed to do this steps in order for the saves to even appear .
For anyone experiencing issues with crashes at startup - first, make sure you have at least minimum system requirements, latest drivers and such. If that's not an issue, there's actually a topic on Steam community regarding this issue which could help you find the solution. Some people reported that plugging in a controller helped FYI.
It seems the change of language in steam_emu.ini does not work. I have tried to type Language=japanese or Language=jp Both are not working. It displays english lanugage only.
Idk why people are having trouble with the game. I downloaded with torrent, installed it like usual, and the game's running smoothly with 60 fps and high settings on everything. Chapter 2 is one long ass chapter. Running on a 1660ti, 8gb ram laptop.
For those of you saying game crashes on startup, it's probably because you are on a older version of Windows. My older PC that has Windows 8.1 can't run the game, unfortunately.
here's my solution: change the game settings to Graphics instead of performance. Idk why, maybe the messed up the translation but Graphics is for a better performance

I tried to start the game for few hours, but couldn't. when I start the game. i can't see its running correctly. even it disappears from the process list suddenly. i follow the manual for the installation or correct copy and past the cracked file or turn off the anti-virus program. how can I solve the problem?
Hey, for me I just added FateSamuraiRemnant.exe to steam, launched it from steam and my xbox controller could work. If it still doesnt work, maybe try changing steam to big picture and launch the game from there as well.
Because you still not crack it before start game. After install, you must open .iso file, you will see "RUNE" folder, copy all files in that folder and paste to your game's dir, enjoy ;)
I liked this installment but I had to start a new game (without closing the program) to solve the omission of the cinematics. Gameplay --> https://youtu.be/2IimbV3XMpI
