I assume they must've uploaded another version because the version I've downloaded right after it went up is not the tenoke version and therefore does not have the tenoke file.
Probably the chronos initial patched version. There's also a second patch out now, though not on IGG yet. Generally, look in Engines, Binaries, and follow that track down until you find Steamworks; that's usually where the INI is located.
In the first uploaded version, which wasn't the tenoke one, there's no ini file whatsoever. That's usually the first thing I look for. However, there's still an option to change your name that works in that version as posted and explained by Zer0wlet below.
Like I said, it was likely the Chronos initial patched version, rather than the Tenoke version. You should update, as the patches fix several bugs. You'll find the INI in '...Fae Farm\Engine\Binaries\ThirdParty\Steamworks\Steamv155\Win64', specifically, and you need to change the name under, C:\Users\yourUser\AppData\Local\FaeFarm\Saved\SaveGames\Steam by editing the "FaeConfigSave.sav" file, specifically the value "LastPlayerName"; you'll see the in-game name easily enough in the mess that the file shows in notepad/notepad++ or whatever program you use.

Thanks for the tip, though. Maybe my laptop is just bugging out. EDIT: I tried Shyzzryd method and that worked for me. So it's all sorted out.
Well, I downloaded the game twice, the first one I downloaded it from MegaUp and the other one from the Mega.nz. I can do the shift+tab metode from the MegaUp file, while from the Mega.nz version, absolutely no change in the screen. The Megaup character name is Goldbreg The Meganz character name is TENOKE
Couldn't find anything in the files where you could just change your name. It seems like you need to have a Phoenix Labs account to change your character’s name so probably not going to work with this version of the game.

Worked. Doesn't allow for multiplayer. It requires their account system to have you logged in. To bypass needing an account, it pretty much keeps you offline.
Does anyone controller is working? Mine is not working in this game but it is working in other game like sun haven and stardew valley. Does anyone have a solution for this?
find tenoke file and open it.
Shift+Tab while in the game. It opens the fake steam overlay. There you can change the name in the Settings.
the menu is pretty small at the top of the window.
