First: This game runs fine... its a game like we wish all the AAA Games would publish - no bugs, a pretty good story and decisions who will change the actual story
Second: The game combat is nice - just bcs some of the commenter dont know how to play this game - it doesnt mean the game features or design is bad...
Here? It's not "people"... it's literally just one dude making a shit ton of negative comments... someone has too much time on their hands. I've enjoyed it a lot too. I was thinking earlier it's probably the CRPG I've enjoyed the most in the past couple years.
The final battle of the campaign in a stupid joke. It is pathetic. They made it so the Boss knows in advance where you will be firing the catapults. He moves out of the way before they are fired staying perfectly safe every round. It just isn't fun playing with so poorly designed combat. It isn't too hard it is stupid hard.
lol if he didn't move out of the way you'd be here complaining about how dumb the final boss was and how easy the fight was.
We get it, you don't like the game. I'll never understand people like you that take time out of their day to spam comment sections like this with negative comments. When I don't like something I just stop playing and go do something else. I recommend you try this.
The game combat is horribly done and pathetic. You are expected to take out about 20 soldiers with 4 men. They were not thinking when they created this mess.
Its more light rouge like where you may need to re-do a battle to learn when enemies show etc... (if on max difficulty or bad luck or w/e) + You also have to use the mechanics more like 1 the biggest being where you get your ap back if you kill a light guy (like militia/low tier bandit). -> Which is also the main reason you outnumbered Rome fought hordes of weak junk and a few stronger capable fighters which is what this game does.
Also many have a objective where you are not meant to kill all, some even with turn limit. (Like break all of something, kill their leader, kill enough to route them, etc...)
played the demo, love this game and if you love roman history this is exactly the game for you. Lucullus was one of my favourite personalities of late republican era as well so fighting under him is just an honour
recommended casual player not to download this game. The combat its tedious, enemy alway have greater number than you in battle and the story just straight up muh for me, this its my opinion for this game
As it will say when downloaded it is the latest as of post update (contains both do in order as normal), it just gog does different version numbering to steam.
edit: Though I am having difficulties getting it to work..
edit#2: Decided to reinstall update 1 freezes and update 2 says of course wrong version.. Assume this means it confirmed full version and update not needed but then the numbers are wrong...
With reinstall. Version number is now 58380 the 2 updates are 53080-53180 53180-53248
*Note I assuming the version numbers I am referencing are correct ones given they are similar though idk its always weird with version numbers.
Hopefully they will be able to update soon, said they will :) (this not meant to be a rush or critic, but just letting people know updating coming so need to request or ask here).
Its a alright game if you go in with little expectations.

Logic Artists are an Indie-Studio... not even near an AAA-Studio, and they still make great games
