Thank you alot IGG-Staff,you are a blessing♥️🤗, for this 👍 great Full-Release Upload 👍 Since X4(Space-Sim) was a disappointment at first (but after several updates+addon it is now ok/good), i was worried this one would fall short or disappoint, too. But quite the opposite, its so much fun(for me at least)😎😄 The Flight + Fight is smooth,Story is for now interesting(after 2hours), RPG-Elements + the Trade is also nice, its a bit like X but without the Base/Stations-Building?not sure about the last part, cuz i am just at the Beginning. Highly recommendable THX THX
Review goes here- Game is like an traditional RPG in space and no "people". Your ship is your character.
I personally don't have the reflexes any more for games that require twitch reflexes to enjoy. Got to old.
My daughter really likes it and can dance around enemies like they're standing still, while I just get blasted.
The game is pretty and runs really well on both our PCs. The voice acting is adequate, not bad though by any sense of the definition. But I don't find myself thrilled with it, or even really care.
All the animation are "stills", basically just still pictures, slides that move across the screen to tell the stories, that's not a bad thing and I liked that because the art looked great.
I personally wouldn't buy it for myself because I just don't have the reflexes anymore, but my daughter loves it and I bought it for her. She's probably put like 20 hours in on the game since I made my initial post about installing.
I don't talk more about the pros and cons of the game because I simply just can't enjoy it. It's a reflex oriented game and I just don't have that anymore. The kid likes it, so that's all that mattered and as I said I wound up buying it for her.
I'm seeing that other people are having problems launching the game. When opening iso, mount it (in other words open it with windows file explorer.) Don't use 7-zip/WinRAR on the ISO. When updating to a newer version, make sure that you update in order!1.0.34898 > 1.1.35878 INCLU DLC > 1.1.36252 > 1.1.36529 > 1.2.39656 Skipping will cause corrupted game files/CTDs since you skipped an update.
I thought this is tps game after saw the thumbnail. Whatever thanks for uploading this game and this is optimized game i think. I can play this game on my low end pc
For some reason I can't run the game because of "Retry was not successful". They say that steam's verify game files is needed to fix the issue but can't do that here. Already tried reinstalling the game (without update) and still it says the same thing
Game however absolutely refuses to install. I click setup, mute the HORRID fucking music, click install and nothing happens. I wait a few minutes, click again, again, again, then I spam the motherfucker and nothin' happens. Turn the HORRID music back on, no install, change path, no install, change drives, no install. Turn off AV, no install.
edited- For some reason the installer does not like my SSDs. I have an external HDD that for shits and giggles I tried to install to it and it worked. I have plenty of space on my SSDs, both of them so it's not space. I think the installer is busted.
From what I could tell by looking at the store page, the "build your own ship" feature was never a thing ever since Early Access... so they promised us a feature during the game's announcement/debut phase, then proceeds to pretend they never actually said that?
Good job, Rockfish, you don't deserve my money I guess!
After selecting Language, you'll see: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, and two forms of Chinese.
Let us know when this is updated. Fun is the name of this game when you hear it's going to also be an RPG on land missions instead of just a space shooter/looter. Actually, when Ai is added to the mix of voiceovers, it's utterly dreadful, worse than amateur voices. Let's hope the dev is listening.
The only space games I used to enjoy was Homeworld, Freelancer, and EvE Online, and this is close albeit EA. Actually, WIng Commander was the first of this list on Sega. The first Everspace didn't cut it for me, but this ...is quite different. Some prefers to enjoy the experience with a controller or stick, but I never got used to them. The game seems to run well with the mouse and keyboard for me. Thanks for sharing.
Yep, still waiting for the full release, hoping I can play with ultra graphics with neat gameplay. The devs are working hard and new stuff is added daily with the help of its fanbase. Will be worth the wait. This is the sort of game that you don't wanna try a half assed version for that kinda experience.
This is perhaps the best game I played in 30 years and I'm glad it gets rid of the cheapness that is present in its predecessor which was a freelancer+ftl wannabe (pretty much the idea behind crying suns which is also a low value game). The devs finally cave in, made inertial dampeners switchable and fixed a lot of issues with the original idea. It seems they already knew the inherent problems with their first concept, going through this game everything just feels right and gives you that subtle excitement of "omg, this is so coooool". It kept a few proven mechanics from Freelancer, like travel. Regular engines for manoeuvring around, boosters for combat, cruise engines for approaching stuff in the same area, supralight for interplanetary travel and finally jump gates to reach other solar systems. Levelling with common, but cleverly chosen equipment is what I think provides the best game experience right now and the good endgame potential is there. The foundation is already solid for that, you may encounter random events during supralight travel and you are free to stop and check it out or ignore it. You may collect decoder signals that can be sold for a nice sum of credits or be used to reveal a high risk (also high reward) location, that is pretty much works like dungeons/instances in MMOs and you are practically guaranteed to loot uncommon and rare stuff if you complete the whole instance. Crafting seems like a good idea for levelling and you never need better stuff than you are able to create if you know what are you doing. Crafted items also have a chance to create prefixed items (like HIGH-CAPACITY Rockets with higher ammo reserves) on the top of rarity bonuses. Tampering with loadouts is already engaging, choosing poorly punishes you (which is great), being clever pays off (which is very great), though I have to say having well tuned high quality equipment lets you shred any content under 2 seconds, including high risk bosses and its kinda boring. I keep switching among my 3 minmaxed ship and get bored after a few missions. Apart from weaponry you get consumables and devices, the latter are a cooldown based replenishing source of battlefield manipulation. They got consumables right, plenty, common, cheap, it's funny though that even with all servicing perks it's still worth to buy up nanobots from a shop and repair with those undocked. Devices are also done right, three specialization can be chosen for each to spice things up and adjust their behaviour to your liking (or minmaxed loadout). Here you will feel that the game is incomplete, since all the ships currently in game have a device limit of 2 (even the device focused Sentinel which is plain stupid), plus you are not able to gather enough Device Upgrades to unlock all specialization, however invested upgrades can be refunded with a reasonable credit cost. Ships have numerous variants, keep an eye on them, especially passives (strike fighters might be able to boost faster when locked on by a missile, gunships equipped with a fuckin Coil Gun turret instead or one that target mines as well). Hint for endgame: even in this early build I've stockpiled ships for every category with increased stats that looked normal at first glance (take a look at my interceptor that has 22% bonus to shields and 17% to armour instead of the default 15% and 10% and as much health as a freaking gunship). Then had to get rid of some of them due to the hangar limit of 3. :( Customization! Even pearlescent paint is achievable via very low roughness metallic, I recommend you to try it. Yep, this is for alike people who love babysitting their tech and further improve the feel of ownership. Puzzles are simply awesome and were never repetitive. My favourite is tossing an energy sphere into a tunnel where it bounces all the way to power up a generator at the end. Hope they will able to keep it that way for the completed game. The only crash I experienced was from drag&dropping consumables after I edited storage or ship loadout and it happens regularly, so avoid doing that. However if you are fresh to the loadout/storage screen it seems safe. Pics for every paragraph: (it is possible to jump-start this high latency shield with perks or a unique Cargo Container that starts recharging shields upon loot pickup) (base bonus armour for interceptors are 10%) TLDR: A Starpoint Gemini done right. It's already going in the right direction. Current available content is polished, worth to play and feels like a finished game.
Controller for a game that specifically hints that you get the best experience with mouse+keyborad because both your ship and your turret mounts are governed by your input device. Yikes.
I liked playing this game on a controller better personally. It's a matter of preferance i guess, Some are too used to mouse and keyboard, Others feel more comfortable with a controller.
runs perfectly fine for me, even on my potato pc. all settings on epic, just disabled motion blur. only lag i noticed is when opening the starmap. (ryzen5 2600, 16gb ddr4 3ghz, 1660 super oc, ssd samsung 860 evo) there is already a fair amount of story to the campaign. the only downside is the level cap at 14, which you already reach in the starting area of the campaign. also balance isnt exactly finetuned as of yet. trade system and faction system is still very rudimentary.
I also have a Ryzen5 2600 but with a Gtx 1660 Ti and 32 GB ram and the last triple-layer SSD I managed to find. How is that a potato pc? FYI settings don't do anything in most case right now.
fair enough. i guess it comes down to what you set as the bar for what is still a potato pc. i mean ryzen 2600 and a 1660 are already a few years old and even at their release time the werent exactly toptier, more like budget friendly intermediate level for pc gaming. dont get me wrong its a very good bang for your money setup, but for me it was always meant as a placeholder for my new system (ryzen 5900 and rtx3080). problem is that i am not willing to pay the prices they are demanding at the moment (about 80% more than listing prices) regarding settings: never really fiddled with them. left them at epic and disabled motion blur since i hate that sh*t. so i cant really comment on whether they work or not, but thanks for the info.
I ve played demo of it it was running like butter but this runs like tractor in farm gtx 970 this is the first game that i had low fps at high settings gg
not a fan of the installer, I'm trying to install it on a harddrive with more than 200gigs free space, but because my OS drive only has 16gigs of free space its says "not enough space to install." bullshit. never have a problem like this with other installers. https://imgur.com/gallery/IJIC1Lm
mm the same happened to me, last time I installed Kingdom come deliverance and was showing the same error, but I restarted and worked perfectly, now I am trying to install and say that message, I have more than enough space in my HDD. :/
i have been around the community for years... but it's development somehow turned out kind of like cyberpunk. Hyped fanbase, ambitious, delayed release, bugs and unfinished development, etc. But overall I am looking forward to play after the full release. So those of you complaining, just wait few more months.
I dont know, I am considered as overhyped or not, my reasoning is simple, i can buy cheap when on early access..60-100 USD on release is way out my entertainment budget..and ussually i am waiting for 1 - 4 month early access how the dev engage with its player base to actually buy..or you know came here first.
If we stop buying on release or mass refund buggy/unfinished games maybe companies will have to adjust to actually polish their games rather than try to sell too early. Just a thought.
Not using the proper units to measure distance between the location (should be AU instead of KM)
Docking into a station is so unrealistic they could have done better
You can't really keep track of the objects and stations floating around in space because the map and sensors doesn't really highlight all that. The graphics is great! they were lazy and messed up on a few things. but I am very aware that THIS IS AN EARLY ACCESS GAME. don't bother writing it in the comments okay?
I've seen less polished retail games and the only sketchy thing about this game is graphics and the lack of working settings for that. Lightyears are used for supratravel (aka. hyperspace), in the vicinity you get kilometers, what's your problem? Eh, don't bother, it was rhetorical.
measurement systems are entirely arbitrary, there are no "right" ones and AU is one of the WORST since it''s only relative to the solar system earth/sun distance.
do you guys often get slow down when running mission on planet surface and fly inside junk at chyribdiss bowl, got 28-45fps on epic and 2K ?. my sistem is 6 core ryzen 3.5, 16GB 3000Mhz DDR4, radeon rx5500xt 4GB..is my pc cannot cope or because its an early access?
Where is the crack ? every time I try to start the game it says: The following components are required to run this program: DirectX Runtime I install and it still says the same
That's nothing with the game, that's your end of things missing DirectX drivers the game needs to run, check the folders and see if there is an installer or look online.
Then you need the DirectX Runtime. Make sure you meet the game requirements (W10 64 bit), update your system as much as possible and install these add-ons https://cutt.ly/6gR6oIx .
Im having a problem here. As soon as the game loads up, i get this: GPU Crashed or D3D Device Removed. Use -d3ddebug to enable the D3D debug Device Use -gpucrashedebugging to track the current GPU State. I need help
i get that when change the resolution to 2K and epic setting, i use old radeon card 5500xt, after restarting the game it run smoothly..this happen usually driver problem.
Honestly I'm disappointed, it's so incomplete that it almost feels like alpha demo except you need to pay 30 bucks to play it. (And I'm happy that I didn't.) I know Rockfish is not a AAA studio but come on, what the hell are you offering us with the price tag? This is Steam/GOG, not your Kickstarter testbed.
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access? “We look forward to working closely with you over the course of the next 12 to 18 month.." D:
As of now, it's terrible. Optimization is bad, story is unfinished, ship model is also partially done (cockpit is more like a placeholder.) I'm also not sure about item rarity system, that makes the game feels like a MMORPG except it's single player.
i downvote you because your entitlement..its an early access..you bought or leave it..dont rant your ass out on unfinished product that literally plastered in front of you..if you try to be constructive go to dev forum and say your piece most humanely possible..
Unfinished story and unfinished assets i can forgive seeing as this is early access and all that but i was talking more about the gameplay. I knew from the get go that it was going to be roe RPG than whatever the previous version was, also less procedurally generated scenarios and more hand crafted ones. I found a stream that gave me a good idea how it plays
