Steam User Defined tags are untrustworthy as any Steam user can just log onto Steam and then create their own tag. The tag will remain as long as no one else complains about it. The tags are not created by the game devs who know their own product better compared to the users.

Also, this kind of openly public editing only invites some wiseguys or wisegals to potentially sabotage a game by adding tags that have no relationship to a game's genre (For example, someone can add the "nudity" tag to a SFW game or the VR tag to a game that only supports standard play (The latter has happened many times which sometimes affects the genre listing of VR-only or standard play-only games on this site, causing the games to be incorrectly categorized)!

I still don't know why the Steam admins allowed such a crazy practice to begin with!
