Hmmm I remember trying this a year ago and uninstalled it fast, but I forgot why...🤔 I think there was one huge flaw, but I'm not sure... Anyway, I read on Steam that this is quite a big update, with a single-player campaign added... (maybe that's the flaw I was thinking about? lol) Maybe we should give it another try...
I just found how to play using downloaded maps. 1. download some maps from workshop 2. unzip these files 3. change the file name as http://xxxx.map 4. put these map files into Dustwin/Dustwind_Data/MyMaps folder 5. In game, go to map editor. load map you want to play. 6. push play and push play test 7. select character and play!
Great thanks that was something i hadnt figured out yet because i hadnt downloaded the Workshop Stuff until now. Working together in a community fixes things much faster than just crying for an updated release
FIXED: i took the crack from House Flipper (because i downloaded it the same time and both are made with unity so the steamapi is in plugins folder too) and changed the steamappid to 600460 and also installed directx_dec2006_redist (because the log also says there was something with xinput1_3.dll) and it works. think it should work with any steam_api64.dll you just need to configure the correct steamappid.
well it seems like you have to download any maps manually through steam workshops. i hadnt figured this out yet because i am actually playing something else first, but there are many scripted websites out there that will help you downloading the workshop content (as VERYHARDX12 had written in the comments below)
I just downloaded some maps from steamworkshop. But I don't know how to load these maps. Also, after making my own map in this game, I can't find my map in single play.
!! Basically, there is no campaign from what I'm hearing, just player generated content. !! download maps from steam workshop via https://beta.steamworkshopdownloader.io/
Nice release guys, it CRASHES on ANY option. Sometimes i wonder if people even do anything other than firing the game up. Oh well, i will just guess that it will receive the same treatment as WH40k: Space Wolves, that never got properly cracked and nobody did bother to fix it, because the devs put in more than 1 safety.
You can try and fix it. What no? No skills? You shouldn't have only leveled up your crymouth ability and Bitchcraft. Start again from level one. ASAP! ... ffs ^^
WoW and you are still alive or just being macho behind a keyboard? ^^ Boi ? What are you a freaking KKK member or a stupid muble rap fan? Eitherway, cant teach a stupid fuck anything, simple because he is stupid. And yes you are in that category. Bitch all you want and you can always feel good with yourself. Then one day ...it will hit you. Until that day Boy! (LoL) ^^
Yeah LioNs right Mate. You put all your ability points in the FKBOY and DUMBSHT skill. This is as if you showed up at a store and started bitching at the people behind the counter for the quality of the donuts they hand out for free that someone else cooks and brings to the store every morning. " WHY THE FK ARENT THEY BETTERZ?!?!" They don't make them =,= with REV facing so much legal trouble WH40k wont ever get touched again. (denuvo breaker) Guess your just gonna have to piss off or randomly attack people in real life!(not as easy without the keyboard, try to get 100 points in your car)
so hold on, are you complaining to the devs or with the guys here? if you mean that you bought the game and noticed these things and then you wanted to share that the devs fucked up then i getcha, but if you mean to the people posting...well I mean.. you ain't paying so why are you complaining over what's basically a gift?
I know, it's not really helpful but just sop you know you're not alone. Game crashes for me too, immediately after tutorial and then everytime i click something in main menu. Terribly cracked or buggy mess of a game? Who knows.
Considering how well it plays otherwise, and how positive user reviews of the game are, it's 99.9% certain the problem is with the crack. EDIT: Yup, it's most likely the crack. In LocalLow, Dustwind Studios folder, there's the crashlogs. "steam_api64.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005) in module steam_api64.dll...."
True. Considering there's nothing like that reported on the official steam forums, it's probably the "crack". Shame too, because after the tutorial i was all on-board. It seems to be a good game. Only 15 bucks too, so it's not like i wouldn't buy it properly. It's just that i wanted to test the game properly before tlling my buddies to buy it too (they're not into RTS style games usually). Now i'm hesitant to even tell them about the game...
The tutorial gives you a good feel for the game at the very least; Reviews also note that there isn't a story campaign, so while there is PVE vs. AI, there doesn't seem to be a story component to it. I'd consider buying it if you enjoyed the tutorial and getting your friends into it. After all, there's alsways the unconditional two hour refund window on Steam, anyways.
Nah, cracks for small games never get fixed. Pathfinder Adventures & WH40k: Space Wolves prove that. Our best hope is that an expansion comes along and they reupload it with a proper crack.
