There's been an update on december 9th that fixed the big character problem but every download site I found so far still has the old one.

to solve the "giant" character, or the black screen bug, just change your language settings to chinesse (or use a tool like ntleas)

Doesn't work for me :(
I couldn't find where to download ntleas, so I download a different local emulator. But it didin't work with this game :(
