Fun for the first 2 hours, and then it is just repeat and it grind really slowly. But this is not the first "grind underground and defense above" game out there, game called "Dome Keeper", " Wall World" is identical to this game. And game like "Dig or Die" give your more upgrade and creative freedom.
The game could have been 4/5, but for early access with the meger 2 building unlock per run at best case, it becomes a grind with not much variation. Not to mentioned, there are at least 3 games I could name on top of my head for identical gameplay, I say it is a "pass for now". Maybe after early access it could be something great but at current it is 40% complete, so don't bother.
It is not I don't like grind, but grind without much variation. Game like monster train or warrior of the nile 2 gives you 100s of ways to win, but this "Drill Core" have no much difference between runs. But still this game is better than "Dome Keeper" or " Wall World" in this aspect, so this game could have been 4/5 whilst "Dome Keeper" or " Wall World" will stay at 2/5 indefinitely.
