Well said but honestly I'm more concerned that the writing is bad... saw a review and yeah, it sounded like dialogue from a transformers movie or something. I really liked the dark fantasy of the first two games and it seems like they went away from that big time.
Ditto controversy aside the game itself is not something very special for you is the writing for me is the character design and world aesthetics the game looks is way to colorful for a dark fantasy game I was hoping for something like elder ring or dark souls and DA1 aesthetics.

Now, there's a lot to complain about this game and I myself have preliminary complaints such as the world being to colorful, the character models not looking right(especially Qunari, jesus they ruined their look) and the BASTARDIZATION they did to my main man Varric Tethras(Hate his new design with a passion). I've yet to play the game since I'm still downloading the bastard but I'm not expecting this to wow me like Origins did, I'm just expecting it to keep me entertained and not make me fall asleep

I think it's pathetic how western game devs intentionally make female characters manish looking to appease male to female transexuals. I remember reading an article about how executives force game artists to do this. not saying transexuals even care about this; but, that apparently was the excuse.
I enjoyed DA2 way more than Inquisition. I know a lot of people complained because DA2 all took place in one area, but I liked that it was more contained. My kids were young at the time so it was easier for me to get through in the limited time I had.
its pretty sad, that they have to make ALL characters (maybe) pansexual. meaning, the romance-able characters. will hook up with, if they find you attractive...which. they obviously do or will because of armor plot.
I couldn't get through any of the previous games to the end. Came in too late to enjoy the first 2 (even after modding them to death) and Inquisition was just....clumsy AF. The combat was so not fun I quit the game fairly early on. I WANT to like these games cuz I love RPG's. But just like BG3 I can't get into them.
