TL;DR This trash should burn in a fire. IF you enjoy wandering through uninspiring, ugly mazes for hours, fighting same creatures with terribly boring skills for crap loot, hoping that the RND doesn't mess your run - buy it. Otherwise - stay away.
I've played 100+ hours of Drox Operative, and fair amount on earlier games. This was an unpolished gem. I've played ~20 hours of Zombacite before giving up on it - the game was awful. I've played 2 hours of this Din's Legacy, and that's enough.
It is not about fatigue - ARPG is my favorite genre, and I gave Soldak the benefit of doubt for many years. My mistake.
When you have an unpolished gem, do you polish it, right? OR keep digging in random spots at the same field, until you lose the gem in one of those pits, and your shovel is broken? That's exactly what Soldak did with Zombacite and Din's Legacy. I don't know the company but apparently it's a mediocre company.
I went through almost the same process about Soldak games - I broke at Zombacite and vowed never again to try their stuff until hearing they fundamentally changed their design. Which they apparently did not do ... And I usually love clunky old stuff and low budget games. Anyway, it's probably true that's it's more or less a re-re-re-rehash of their previous game. Which was already dated when it came out. Years ago.
Told'ja If you want to try something real time RPGy and got a decent rig, try Kenshi. Hard to get into but absolutely spectacular. You just need some decent GPU - 1050TI or somesuch - and lots of free time. Like dozen of hours.
Yeah, Grim Dawn is fantastic. Visuals and sounds are top notch. One of the best. Maybe Torchlight 1/2 in a more cartoonish way ? Pretty good too. And of course Titan Quest - especially with the Lilith mod. Fun genre.
