Don't download indie games made by one guy in a third world country. The game has a free demo that you can use to try it out. Fuck AAA but this is not the way to do so.
Let me get this straight, the MINIMUM requirements are: a 4-Core Processor, 8 GB of RAM Memory, 8GB VRAM (with Vulkan support) and a High-Speed HDD, all of that for a game with PS1 era graphics, this is INSANE.

No, they know full well what optimization means for a game. It's just that either many of them are too lazy to spend the time to do it or the execs of their dev studio don't think that it's feasible for the devs to spend the time (After all, "Time is money") to properly optimize a game and rather just "rush" a game to the market, figuring that optimization can happen later and be released incrementally via updates!
