Yes, this game strongly resembles "Hollow Knight" with its magnificent, lavishly hand-drawn, sprite animations and similar gameplay but like the old saying goes, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". If anything, the SapStaR Games devs should be cheered and not vilified, as this game should keep the Team Cherry devs "On their toes" to try to create an even better game if and when they decide to release another game in their celebrated "Hollow Knight" series. 😎👍
I agree, in part. IMHO, it depends upon a given game and the games which emulate it whether intentionally or coincidentally. Also, some games created by Chinese developers in Taiwan who are more freely exposed to Western developed games may surpass the games created by their mainland Chinese counterparts or vice versa as sometimes the Chinese developers living in mainland China can be very creative in their own right (e.g. - See here. The dev, Chen jiacheng, a PhD student who released his game called "Deathly Stillness" which was and is still met with continuing "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews on Steam as a "Free to play" game, created his game in only 17 days! As the link that I have provided shows, the game is so impressive that IGG-Games.com [Admin] decided to list it here as a rare exception to his policy against listing "Free to Play" Steam games). 😎👍
