...Remember when stuff like this used to be porn that you'd download from very sketchy sites?

Those are some wild times we'd live in. I remember I was wanting to try to install, but then I look at the specs req and be like, yeah this is not going to go for my laptop anytime soon then just close all tabs I was researching on.

Do you even know what projecting means? Or maybe you're just so young that you never came across ad banners for desktop mates before.

It's literally not. I mean, not sketchy in the sense that you don't get viruses from this site

I'm actually disappointed in this thing. I thought it was going to have some sort of purpose but it just sets there looking toward your mouse. I figured when I saw the words "Desktop Mate" that it would have some sort of AI integration to it, or at the very least be able to open apps and stuff for you using speech recognition. It has nothing like that and just sit there getting in your way depending on where you place it.

I actually think this has less features than the malware Bonzai Buddy did back in the day LOL.

Might be cool if it had a form of LLM integration. Being able to chat back and forth, see your screen (upon request, at least a list of open windows and titles), some expressions and animations plugged in, ability for plugins/extensions/mods.

Nope, it's not a game. This is literally all it does. It just sits on your desktop following your mouse. Oh, I guess it can double as an alarm.

If she could sway to the rhythm of the music , and understand looking at the video I'm playing
only moving with my mouse when nothing else is happening, that would be even better. It would look more human-like

Is there a way to minimize the application to the system tray in the lower right corner?

I would love something like this on my desktop. Does anybody know if it consumes much, or can be a nuissance at certain points when doing your stuff? I'm always gaming and recording stuff to my channel, so I'd like to know if I can keep it active 24-7 without the program preventing me from completing my agenda or experiencing any background errors of sorts.

Got banned from Valorant for third-party software while this masterpiece played in the background. Worth it. 5/5 🔥

Zamn, guess I'm not playing League of Legends with that active then. Gotta protect my 7M account. Might try it elsewhere though. Was the third-party software the desktop-mate or something else?

Well, that succs I guess. Guessing it's not really a good approach when playing online games sadly. What with Riot, Hoyo, Sunborn, and other companies with their annoying radars it's preety obvious. It is what it is, appreciate the info nevertheless bro/gurl.Uploaded Image

CPU usage is 1%-3%, RAM usage is 250MB

What is your CPU? The usage is going to be dependent on your specs lol. With me for example it takes 0.8% to 2.0% on a Ryzen 9 7900x.
