spoilersspoilersspoilersspoilersspoilersspoilersspoilers Honestly some people are fucking insane. They would choose "Raze", an actual fucking murderer who was too jealous of another demon child so he tried to steal his life, rather than a nice guy like Brash. Literally never hurts you and is always there to protect you. smh
Brash is still a rumored rapist and a corrupt knight - he's nice to Bright, sure, but how much 'nicer' he is than Raze is pretty subjective. More like he's the lesser of the two evils.
they were making a point of calling out the hypocrisy of people who defend either choice I think. this is why you go ari all the way, shes a precious cinnamon roll
Lol does this game even mean anything to you? Do you have a job? Like Jesus, just by the game. How hard is it? You know itβs on http://itch.io and steam. Stop being a their and pay the developer who risked his life to give you this game.
Someone requested the update a few hours after I did, and the Admin replied to it saying that his Steam account (on which he had bought the game) was banned last week. He didn't give any more details so I have no idea if he's going to buy the game again or find some other solution, or if he's going to just not update this at all. But I've been keeping an eye on the request channel and I've seen several other people requesting the update afterwards. So let's keep our fingers crossed that he'll try to find a solution if enough people request it :)
Hi, excuse me, I was stalking your comments and I just read all, so seen that we have a "common taste", I don't know if you're going to read this... it's been 2 years so... but if you do pls can you recommend me VNs that have demons? Actually a dark protagonist... I have seen a lot of history... Anime, movies, manhwas, manhuas, mangas, games, books, novels, VNs... And in the majority is always like ''hero personality, the good guy you know? And after a lot of history... I just... Got fu*ng sick! Fu bullshit, I'm not a restraint mind, you can call me psycho but I just want a good history... Without chains, the dose of romance, comedy, action, suspense... everything is welcome, I just want a good chaotic funny romantic brutally lewd violence, pls help me.
Well, shit. Even worse, every other site that has the game got it from here. Just requested it, too, hope something can be done. Edit: Any idea why it's not appearing in the requests? I'm pretty sure I did everything right. 2nd edit: Never mind, it just appeared!
Yeah, hopefully someone will donate it to the website if they bought it and got the update. Otherwise I don't really have high hopes that the Admin will buy the whole game again just for one last update. If he ends up not updating it, hopefully some other website will eventually get the latest version. It would really suck to not be able to get the very last chapter, but such is life when we don't have the money to just buy the game.
Or a steam account, paypal or credit card, for that matter. Do donations happen often? I'm relatively new here, I've been using the site occasionally but I just signed up. I'm sure it will be uploaded somewhere eventually, especially if it gets more popular now that it's complete. It might take a long time, though...
Not sure, really. I myself have mostly just lurked around and downloaded some games I was interested in. But this website has become my go-to page for pretty much any commercial game that I want to try out. But, as I said I'm mostly a lurker (and quite shy). This game is actually what convinced me to come out and comment in the community. I do hope someone will donate this game, if the Admin doesn't want to buy it again (which I would wholeheartedly understand on his part). But at the same time, I feel like this has been one of the most overlooked games of the past year despite it being such a wonderful story. By "overlooked" I mean that if you google the title, there aren't really too many reviews or websites that present the game, nor are there too many playthroughs of it, as opposed to other VNs. It might be because I think this is the developer's first Visual Novel, but then it might just be that they didn't do too good of a publicity campaign for it.
I've been playing games for years, but mostly rpgs and stealth games. I'm new to this genre, and this is actually the first visual novel I've ever played, so it will really really suck if I don't get to finish it. I also played Cinders after Demonheart, which was also great, and I think I'll try Solstice next! I don't know if you know, but Demonheart was a Neverwinter Nights module (by the same developer) before it was a visual novel. While at least some of the fans started playing because of the module, I guess it's also a bad thing, since it might have alienated some VN fans because it might be considered kind of a 'niche'. Or maybe it's the art, which is completely different, from what I've seen. (though personally I like it) But yeah, it's not nearly as popular as it should be, there's no reviews, playthroughs, no wikipedia page and almost no one mentions it on reddit, even the visual novels subreddit. At least if it's never updated and we don't get to finish it, we can always play the module. That's something... Edit: I'm mostly a lurker, too, and if it wasn't for this I don't think I would have commented either. π
Wow then you were incredibly lucky to come across what I like to call a "rare gem" among VNs, on your very first try. I've been playing VNs for some years now and since I'm fond of writing, I'm usually very picky about what I spend my time reading. Cinders is also a really good one and there are a few others you can get from this website that are really worth your time - like Blue Rose, SoulSet, The Royal Trap or any of the games made by Zeiva Inc (maybe except Anicon, that one wasn't really anything special in my opinion). Dandelion and Nameless are two amazing ones; they started out as guilty pleasures for me, but once you get into the meat of the story (and get into a rhythm with the stat raising) they're actually unexpectedly deep and captivating. There are also a few non-commercial VNs out there that are really special. As for Demonheart, yes I've heard it started out as a module but I've never been much of an RPG player. Still, if I absolutely have to I might try it just to see the end of this story ;)
Thanks for the recommendations! I'm new and kind of lost. I think I'll particularly like The Royal Trap, there's something about it that reminds me of Cinders. RPGs are great, and they're not so different than VNs, at least in the sense that you make decisions that affect the world around you and you determine what will happen to the world/other characters. Though the gameplay is completely different, of course. And then there's RPG/VN hybrids, like Loren the Amazon Princess. (I've been thinking about trying it for a while) Can you see the comments in the Demonheart page? For some reason they're not appearing for me. I scroll down and nothing's happening.
As I said there are quite a few non-commercial ones that are really good, but I don't know if I'm allowed to recommend them on this website, since you can get most of them from other websites (and I can't seem to find any way to privately message someone on here) :P And yes, try Loren it's quite amazing! I'm still trying to make time to play Seasons of the Wolf (which came out afterwards), or at least to replay Loren... but eh, life just doesn't want to let me. And yes, all the comments show up on the page for me. Maybe try another browser or clear the cache for the one you're currently using? That might help.
It looks like you can't PM someone on disqus. I'm 99% sure you can mention games, but you can't post links to other sites (torrenting/downloading sites, not something like steam). The rules for requesting games mention: "donβt spam or advertise other websites! You will get banned if a moderator finds out!". So the same might apply here? I just started Solstice and I really like it so far, probably even more than Cinders! The art is gorgeous, it looks stunning. Loren is probably next, or The Royal Trap. I've been replaying Dragon Age, too, but I'm in no hurry to finish it, it's like the 5th-6th time I've played it. I don't know what was going on with the comments yesterday, I could see them on the game requests page and on the Dark Souls one but not here, neither in firefox nor in chrome. Today they're appearing again. Weird.
GOSH they updated Demonheart. I cannot believe this, this has to be the best surprise I've gotten in a long while! :D Hmm well most of the non-commercial VNs I got through the Lemmasoft forums. But if you'd like I can recommend a couple of them that have really struck me as incredible games (sometimes better than a lot of commercial VNs). One would be "Cinderella Phenomenon" (if you don't mind having your childhood fairytales twisted about ;) ), another would be "Nusantara: Legend of the Winged Ones", "The Blind Griffin" and "Seduce Me" (the sequel, "Seduce Me 2" is a commercial VN but I think you can find it here on IGG). "Cupid" is another fantastic free VN, as well as "Autumn's Journey". There are way too many to list here, but you can look me up on http://itch.io (same username as here) and check out my VN lists. And then you can take your pick if anything seems interesting. I think all (or most) of the commercial ones I have added there, are already uploaded here on IGG. So feel free to scroll through and choose what suits your tastes :) I've got my eye on Solstice, but have yet to find the time to play it and right now as soon as I find some time I'll dedicate it to the last chapter of Demonheart ;)
I know, I'm so happy! I was resigned to waiting a loong time to finish it! I wonder if someone donated it or if all the requesting worked. I think I'll like Cinderella Phenomenon, I love twisted fairy tales. I read a lot of fantasy books (and an alarming amount of Dragon Age fanfiction, but that's another story) and there have been lot of great retellings in the last years, sometimes a little 'darker' and others not. I'm not on http://itch.io yet, but I'll sign up over the weekend. I don't know why I've never signed up, honestly. (Then again, it did take me 4 years to make a reddit account.) Solstice has been really great so far. The art style looks like Cinders, there's also mystery but maybe a little less romance. And it's set in a city protected by a dome in a middle of frozen wasteland, and I just love anything snow or winter related. I'll finish Demonheart first, though, because I can't wait to see the ending(s)! I hope it's not a bad ending, I can deal with not happy, but not downright bad.
Hmm not sure, I think the admin would have given a shoutout to whoever donated like he did for other games. Well whatever it was, it worked and I cannot wait to have enough time over the weekend to do a full playthrough of it. Yep, you may want to have an account there. Most VN devs upload their works there, and from what I've seen around the Lemma forums, many of them don't post other download links for their games anymore. So for any non-commercial VN you want, I suggest having an account there and following all your favorite devs. Oh, one other really good one that you might find here (since it was commercial) is "Princess of Ruin". The art isn't anything groundbreaking, but the story is incredibly good and captivating - plus it has like 24 endings that you can get (four per romanceable character), if I recall right. It took me about three days of intense playing (like 10 or so hours per day) to finish it :P As for the endings for Demonheart, my only huge fear is that I don't want this chapter to just feel like a rushed ending. Good or bad endings, I don't mind so long as it doesn't feel rushed and I won't be left feeling disappointed at the end. So far the story has built up perfectly and it's been building towards some awesome ending, so I really hope that's what we get. The devs did say it's a longer chapter so I hope it's going to be just as awesome as the first four.
Ok, so I finished it and I can honestly say that I'm satisfied with at least two of the endings! I won't spoil it. I still need to get the rest of them, though. And there's definitely room for a sequel! I signed up on http://itch.io, I'll see you there! (Edit: I hate the lack of PMs!)
Bah and I don't have time to play this weekend, as I hoped I would. I can't wait any longer! >_< Hmm well you can contact me via FanFiction, at least that one has a PM system. Or through Twitter, if you fancy short texts :P
Hopefully as we are quite a few (or maybe a little team) reaaaally hoping the last update to come out... something will happen ? But god I really hope we'll get to see the end of this wonderful game ! Let's keep our finger crossed ! (I also requested it :> )
Indeed, I see people are still requesting it on the channel AND the dev has put the game on sale on http://itch.io with 20% off. But for now all we can do is hope :)
Honestly some people are fucking insane. They would choose "Raze", an actual fucking murderer who was too jealous of another demon child so he tried to steal his life, rather than a nice guy like Brash. Literally never hurts you and is always there to protect you.
