nah it doesn't for me steam launches and asks to buy the game

Cause you're trying to run it from "DarkEcho.exe". You need to run it from "LAUNCHER.exe" if you're on a 32 bit processor and "LAUNCHER_x64.exe" if you're on a 64 bit processor
