Looks like they've no plans to update this game any further. Real shame, though, I thought it was good, great music, awesome atmosphere, an interesting plot, and really challenging game play. Too bad bad there were so many frustrating design choices.
Review (Kinda): This game is good, but is not that hard, i have finished already like 7 or 8 times by now, my first finish i did with 23 deads, after that i didnt die for 3 more runs, once you unlock the upgrade that let you gain dmg for every room you explore and refill armor per kill, the dificulty get lowered by a lot, you can kill every boss in less than 1 minute, bosses are very slow and easy to predict, i recomend playing 1H sword and not spam the combo, just attack-(wait like half second)-attack is much more efficient, each playthrough could take around 1-2 hours if you try to kill everything, there is no level up system so killing only serve to refill faith, get pints to unlock skills at base and/or get consumibles, also you can unlock a few weapons and armor this way i got 100% on each map, all ancient runes, all quest complete, but i dunno how many NPC are out there so far i have find 5, also i havent got all blacksmith's blueprints, i am kinda bored by now, i wanna to complete the blacksmith.
This game can be hard and clunky at first, but it's pretty solid. It's what you would expect from a metroidvania/roguelite/souls. My only real complain is that every run has to be either completed or abandoned. The moment you leave, you'll be back at the start. For me (i tend to have a pretty sporadic time to play games) that's a SUPER BIG turn off. Also, you can't really pause. No big deal tho, just clear the room and AFK all you need. Damn, i wish more devs could respect when someone doesn't have an exact amount of hours (or minutes) to enjoy a game. Specially when you simply don't know how long it's going to take to finish a run. It's really frustrating having to abandon it when you are doing good. On this note, the teleport function is useless.
It does get better. You have a dodge, block, "small dodge", and parry. Most of the enemies are pretty easy to deal with, but later on you'll have to play safe while looking for an opening and measure your weapon's range. It is kinda dynamic imo. — (I managed to beat the game once, in case you need any reference on my comment). —
I'd say that you should try and at least see the last boss. After beating the game once, it's all about trying new weapons, collecting stuff and filling the map. The core gameplay was pretty fun. I also was kinda bummed about how clunky the game felt at first, but you just adapt to it. Like in Usurper.
Interesting...i wished to play Usurper but my graphics cards is incompatible with it and it runs like crap That being said, i am not fond in the slightest of new games+ because you only get to enjoy the story once, and there's not any surprise and expecting factor anymore I'd love to play having all weapons from the start
Yeah, some games get around this issue by having secret endings to unlock, or some extra mechanics to use for the upcoming runs. It was a big turn off to realise not much changed after beating the game once. But hey, the game is pretty good and the reviews are nice, so they might put a dlc for more content later on.
when any game refuse to read the gamepad use any remap app to emulate the gamepad as the keyboard like j2k and remap the controls from the keyboard to the gamepad
i dont have Xbox or even it joystick im using a cheap cheap dual shock USB gamepads and there is only single game pad working the game is kinda little big for me to download :(
where are you from ,dude? I am from Argentine, the game only 850mb weight . I finally find the solution, i Connect ps4 joystick , change the ini file and working now XD,
Looks fun. Stylish graphics too. (o^_^o) I will try it because there is a cute protagonist and because it reminds me of Castlevania. My, I really need to stop saying that games like these remind me of Castlevania... (>.<") I need Bloodstained Ritual of the Night quickly.
I recommend you "Tower Hunter: Erza's Trial" (i'm waiting for the Early Access to be lifted tho). I share the same interest for these kind of games, they are just wonderful. Long live to IGA.

can someone tell me what part of this is exactly "dynamic" combat?
or does it get better?
