the visual details are great but thats all gameplay is damn repetitive played for a few hours and fall asleep of boredom honestly i prefer FTL, very rng but addictive
My OS (w10) simply doesn't want to open the setup because of a perceived virus and not even trying to run it as an admin works. Is there any workaround to this?
The geniuses behind code cracking are also fond of making excellent music. If your incapable taste differs you may interpret it as not being worthy of even having this option.
Did you actually read any of the books? The sands, the worms, the spice, the mysticism, the lawrence of arabia... Those are all mere side-effect things that may have nothing to do with the actual point of it.
You're insane. The Arabic mysticism and religious holy wars was the entire core philosophy of Dune. Entire essays and literary thesis have been written regarding the explicit Islamic and Arabic influence. They are not divorceable from Dune and never will be no matter how many of you haters want it to be.
I don't know - Devs claiming the story is inspired by Dune which I can clearly see in the game as I am very aware about the Dune universe. You can't see worms and such thus you see no association with Dune whatsoever. Apparently I am the troll and you are not clueless at all - makes perfect sense.
Congratulations to your thinking process making your own proofs that prove your own world in your head. You've gotta be proud now. Surely update your public linkedln and add this skill of yours you've developed.
sorry. thought i was supporting a cynicism about all the cookie-cutter games we've been seeing. okay, the dev is definitely a fan of the old sci-fi novels. they mention that it's the atmosphere they've attempted to capture in the game, not the content. although, you play an idaho (significant name in the dune series) on the planet gehenna (a word in dune meaning hell). so it could be the same universe, but nothing to do with the planet dune.
Everything is tested and scanned before being uploaded, this website is virus free. If you get a trojan, it's false positive, like explained http://igg-games.com/virus-trojan.html.
Only in the sense that ST2E is like FTL. The combat system is different. But the core gameplay loop is very similar. Go from one spot in solar system to next. Go from solar system to solar system. Get chased by armada. Run into ships and fight them, random events.
Nice,I like this kind of game but sometimes the random events too punishing even if you're prepared haha.Any cool games like this you know? It's kinda have the same feeling with Shigatari and Convoy but i need more lol
Have you played Faster Than Light? It's the game that started the genre and it's a masterpiece. Slay The Spire is a card-based variant that is very different but does share some similarities.
Screens look promising, but the strategy tag makes me think we'll get 3 or 4 eyecandy locations and the rest of the game will be a boring resource managment sim. Hope I'm wrong
