As a teenager, I enjoyed the cult classic movie back in the '80s (See the classic movie trailer) as well as the movie's theme song by the rock group, "The Dickies". IMHO, at first it looked like a goofy, campy movie but later on when I saw some of the "creative" ways how the space clowns killed humans, it kind of scared some of the shit out of me but in a fun way! Some scenes turned my stomach, though, like how a space clown was sucking the liquefied remains of a cotton candy, cocooned human through a big silly straw, much like how a spider sucks the liquefied remains of previously cocooned insects that fall into his/her web!
If you missed it, you can watch the entire, uncut, commercial free, 86min cult classic movie movie on YouTube! It's scary fun!
Yep. It was nothing but actors, makeup and costumes that helped to create that movie! The latest CGI at that time was that seen in TRON back in 1982, an "A list", Disney movie. This movie was a "B" (Budget) movie, so the use of CGI, expensive back then, was out of the question.
