The developer has explicitly stated that this game will have no express violence. Though if you were desperate for some sadistic pleasure you could always hire a worker, build walls around them and watch them starve or freeze to death
Unfortunatrely Rimworld requires a modlist of about 300 items to play similarly to this game. Trust me, I've been trying to force Rimworld to play like Clanfolk for years. So now I just switched to Clanfolk. Much better load times x,D
Getting a good low-tech medieval game out of Rimworld with no hostile factions, that pushes the limits of survival against nature with complex production chains requires an absurd amount of mods. I'd rather just play a game that's built specifically for it rather than trying to create a Frankenstein's monster of a game with a 300 mods that barely loads let alone plays bug-free. Saves me 3 weeks of trying to get a working mod load order every time the game updates.
I agree with you, my modlist is 300+ mods and most of them are QoL or optimisation so each mods can work well (and the game runs too) with each other but then you look at your tech tree which doesn't make any sense in term of progress from Stone Age > Medieval > Modern... it's just a mess and not enjoyable to progress through.
I mean besides that sad exaggeration and admitting of low capability, anti violence or w/e that about not wanting hostile factions in a setting where there would be (also was and maybe is a single mod I believe that can do that ie remove them) and laziness.
This still early access... (hopefully actually completes and reasonable time as both fail far to often), lower end mod support (though hope that changes), and developer seems hea especially apparently about the violence which as always makes no sense with this time period. despite our modern days thinking.
Do hope game ends up great with great mod support though in future (though I know modding to hard for you and you lack the attention/care/capability/etc...) but mods are what make these games last forever and be god tiers instead of just good.
And been ages since played RimWorld was just pointing out it wins out still easily atm and no reason atm for this EA game. (also semi sorry that this is "overly aggressive") But tired of copium/accepting lower end/laziness/anti modding(mostly due to laziness and refusing for people to admit that)/etc... Again hope it completes and gets great mod support looks good potentially like countless games but no kidding when 90+% fail or are less then what already existed for Years.
