I'm pretty disappointed with the comments on this page due to how fool and ignorant some people that judge themselves gamers can be. Probably are people who never had to work on their lives. Support the developers means give them an opportunity to make even better games. Course, they're a company, like the brands who produce our food are, and I can't just enter market, take what I want and go away because "they're a rich company". Personally I rarelly buy PC games cuz have alot of trouble with installation and updates, and already lost some bought games after format my PC and couldn't download again. I'm not telling anyone to get out of here and buy games, cuz I download games here too and I'm glad they're shared here. But a few "civility" and "respect" (if some people here at least know what it means) will not injure anyone. One last point, I think I don't need to remember people that this site is online because the admins are paying for this and the games are here cuz they're spending time to upload it, like the devs spent to build the game. I'm sorry to comment about other sites here but this year we lost http://PC-Games.com, that was a great site too. Anyways, sorry IGG Team, thanks for your work here, but I'm disappointed with this family.
This doesn't have anything to do with being gay or not I don't play this game personally but IGG accept all kind of game and that shit head want it taken down for stupid reason
Maybe he/she wants it taken down because the developer has commented here and asking igg to take it down. Dev said that he wouldn't mind if the game is uploaded here after one or two years but it just got out so he wants the meager income from the game that he created
This is saying a lot about you. You do not have to put others down to make yourself feel better. But i acknowledge your feelings. If you need someone to help you get rid of these negative feelings i suggest talking to a friend or family member. But Bullying people is not the answer.
All games in this site it's very unfair to the developers. ;) all games are paid, not just this one. Whoever downloaded this game from this site will not buy it anyway, when it is removed from it. but I am sure that after checking this game there will be buyers.
There used to be Demos. That was a great era. How many hours spend on the demo of JA2 or C&C, and then somemonths later we had the money to make a buy. I dont support any developer on the grind system (look at patreon). If a game is fun I will buy it. If a game delivers I will support the devs for a sequel. But I am more willing to pay good kickstarters than devs that are in grinding systems. Pillars of Eternity is a great example. You are even in the game. ^^
My main reason is that I refuse to pay for digital distribution. I used to pay for games but started exclusively pirating when PC went digital only. I have never use Steam or any other scum paid digital distribution "service" and never will. The people that I know in real life that played PC games before Steam existed are the same, they pirate now even though they used to pay. If all I'm going to get is a digital download then I might as well pirate, so your second reason kind of applies to me. "support the developer" Please stop saying that, it is a brainwashing tactic. It doesn't matter how small they are, they are still a company, not a charity, and should be treated as such. Paying for digital distribution is nothing more than giving a donation to a company yet these developers refuse to admit it, instead they try to brainwash people with the "support the developer" mentality which I see you fell for. They are not entitled to "support", especially when they are spitting on any pay pig that gives them money by refusing to admit that it is a donation.
I see where you're coming from, but let me show you another perspective: I think "supporting the developers" means paying for a work they provided, and not charity. They had to invest time and money into making these games, and if anyone wants and can pay for them,I would recommend doing so. Still,Don't misunderstand bc I'm not talking badly about pirated ones [I'm really grateful for them and sites like IGG,otherwise I wouldn't get to play a bunch of games],I'm saying it's valid to financially contribute for a game company, and it can be for a lot of reasons; You're grateful, you want to see the company grow and develop more games, you get to incentive the creators and you make their job worth the effort, etc
But what do you expect? 'If all I'm going to get is a digital download then I might as well pirate' That is not justified! What do you want? Candies? Lolipops? A dolphin!?!?!!
Fuck you. Once a game is made it has 0 scarcity and infinite supply since it can be infinitely copy and pasted. If they don't want people to copy and paste their game without paying then they could have always went into a business where the product has scarcity and can't be infinitely copy and pasted. You know what really isn't fair, charging for digital distribution and refusing to admit that it is a donation. The industry pushed paid digital distribution so they can get a lot more profit for a lot less effort, yet they won't even admit it is a donation, instead they try to brainwash you with the "support the developer" line which I see you fell for. They are a company, not a charity, and should be treated as such. If someone said "you have to support walmart or amazon!" they would be seen as a brainwashed corporate drone, that should apply to anyone that says the same about game developers since it is still a business.
Ah? What are you trying to justify? Imagine, for an instance, that you create something and it costs a LOT of effort, but you made it because you love doing that. And then, you sell it since you think people might like it. But they steal it and all that effort you made is rewarded in no way. How would you feel?
CtS dev here. Can I ask you to take the download links down? I'm not a big company, just a solo dev who has worked on this game for two years. I wouldn't mind if Chasing the Stars got posted here after a year or two, but it has been just released. So I deserve the meagre income an indie game like this will provide.
Fuck you! You trash indie devs are worse than AAA devs. I hope it isn't taken down, I have no sympathy for you or any other developer getting your game pirated. I started exclusively pirating games when PC went digital only. I bet you are a console immigrant like most "PC gamers" these days that wouldn't play games if Steam didn't exist. Paid digital distribution is a cancer on gaming, the reason it was pushed is so game developer and publisher scum bags can get a lot more money for a lot less effort, it has created the environment for disgusting business tactics such as early access aka paying to test a game when devs used to have to pay people to test their game, DLC, micro transactions, intentionally releasing unfinished/buggy games to the point of being unplayable since they can just easily patch it through some platform, doesn't leave a sour taste in your mouth for paying for a game that is unfinished/buggy to the point of being unplayable since it is so easy to update, games as a service which digital distribution inherently is, not being able to sell it, being expected to pay for a digital download, making games even more popular from easy access to people who otherwise wouldn't play games or play as much thus making them a huge market which makes companies make games focused on them instead of actual gamers, lowered the barrier of entry, etc. Giving you money would be a vote for all of those disgusting tactics. Paying for digital distribution is nothing more than giving a donation to a company, instead of admitting that you try to brainwash people with the "support the developer" line. Doesn't matter how small you are, it is still a business, not a charity, and should be treated as such. No, you are not entitled to income just because you made something. Once a game is made it has 0 scarcity and infinite supply since it can be infinitely copy and pasted unless put into physical form, even then the physical form is the only thing with worth. Here is an idea, if you don't want people to copy and paste your product then why don't you go into a business where the end result can't be infinitely copy and pasted or at least admit that giving you money is nothing more than giving you a donation? I'm currently working on an anti-paid digital distribution website, I hope it inspires a lot of people to stop paying and start pirating.
You're talking about entitlement when you're responding to a developer saying "fuck you" and expecting that something they put work into should be handed to you for free. I only see one entitled person here and it's really sad that you're lacking so much self-awareness.
There's no need for swearing, especially when someone's asking for something nicely. I didn't even want to read what u wrote cause the first sentence took my interest right away.
Jesus fucking christ. Imagine telling people to not support the developer of the game they enjoy and instead telling them to pirate it just because the devs don't release their game on a physical form.
You shouldn't want to "support the developer", they are a company, not a charity, and should be treated as such. They wont' even admit that giving them money for a digital download is nothing more than giving them a donation. I'm surprised you haven't chocked to death from sucking all that developer cock. They don't even like their own creation enough to give it the best release possible, why should anyone give them money?
If you defend a game should only be charged if it was sold in a physical form, then you would be considering just the material to make the CD and cape, and that's all you would get,an empty frame. The creative work "behind the scenes" and the effort we consumers rarely see it's what makes a game be priced the way it is,it's not donation to pay for labor.
Are you even rational? What's the difference between a digital game or a cd game? It's not the same thing? I can't understand you. YoU shOulDnT pAy It BeCaUse Its A COMpAnY!!1!!1 Really? Do you compare a multimillionary company such EA or nintendo with an only developer? Do you think that is the same? Being just one or two developing a game is different than being 834763895689 people and having already money to do better projects. This dev probably just earns a living doing that. HELLOOO? IT'S STILL A PRODUCT! YOU PAY FOR PRODUCTS! Or would you tell me, for example, that you would pay for God of War cd version, but not for the digital version?!?!!!!? Does this make any sense, anyways? My point is, if you liked the game, then buy it. There was time and effort in this. If you think its crappy and it's not worth it, then not. EASY! And why are you even complaining about this but no one says nothing about micro payments? Or you pay a game but the other half is still unlocked and you have to pay even more? Tks. As a future developer, I'm so disappointed.
Email IGGcontact123@gmail.com and request this to the administrator. He's actually usually pretty good about taking things down at dev request. Or he was, anyways. The admin torch has passed to a new person recently, so I can't really be sure if things will remain the same, but it's worth the attempt regardless. He's far more likely to see it in his email than in a game comment page.
Dont listen to The shithead below although i don't buy your game and download it ilegally here. CtS is a really good game that i enjoy, For now i can only download games here with not working and busy with thesis my only solution is Igg
if you want it to be post here after a years or two then Denuvo can answer that ha ha and yeah I don't care how hard you worked for this it's pirated and you can't do anything about it maybe if you make a game that's truely good people would want to decorated their steam library with it
Pirating games is a practice which overall turns either more or less neutral or even positive for the game's sales. I really don't feel like elaborating on the hows and whys of that right now and I doubt I'll remember to come back to this later on, so I recommend just looking up yourself why that might be the case, considering that some other game developers admit to knowing it to be true themselves.
Not working + Thesis = Dead

Is it a gay game? Nah, certainly not.
