I played this game 10 minutes. Yep, 10 minutes only.
That's all I could endure before I wanted to kill somebody.
How could they release this game in this state is beyond me.
And how is it possible that all reviews on Steam are positive is beyond me too...
Well, my problem comes from the fighting system...
See, in "normal" games, you know how to heal...
Turn-based games give you all the time you want, and you open a menu to use some herbs and stuff...
Real-time roguelikes usually let you assign a button to heal, or sometimes they heal you automatically as you pick up an item...
RPGs let you pause your game and use healing items.
THIS game, on the other hand... It spits on your face, gives you the finger, and tells you to GO F*** YOURSELF.
You can't pause during a fight, which is normal in these old-school RPGs, but the problem is that the progress bar (before it's your turn) goes waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too fast, and when you face two enemies, they destroy you in a matter of seconds.
The time needed to open the menu, and then look for any healing item is actually VERY long, and BAM! Too late, while you were looking for this stupid item, you're DEAD!!!
Cos see, it's not even a mix of "real-time" and "turn-based" like some old JRPGs...
Enemies just won't wait for you to choose your action...
So if you lost your turn, well SCREW YOU! Your enemies just keep hitting you as hard as possible non-stop...
You might think "oh well you just need to heal BEFORE the fight"... Well, it won't be enough if you have to face 2 or 3 enemies.
So, I don't know, as I always say, maybe I'm too old now.
Maybe if you're very young and can browse menus VERY fast, you'll be ok.
Even so... How is that supposed to be fun? That's simply ridiculous.
The developer made a huge mistake, trying to make the fights faster and less boring, cos he should have added some buttons or something so that we could heal as fast as possible during battles.
Because of this, I'll never know if the game is actually good or not, cos I'll definitely not waste time on this...
This was simply one of the top 10 most frustrating experiences ever in history of games.
