checking here (do scroll up slightly, to see the comment mentioning this game) will show that the prior uploaded version "did" work online. but, there is no guarantee that it still does. as the devs may had updated blocking said connection. it has since been reuploaded with a different cracked release for offline not requiring steam to be running. but, one can always try. online-fix.me sometimes has the answers your seeking use at your own risk, doesnt come from IGG and may break in the future etc, etc, etc!
