I'm curious how different it is compared to CDDA or CBN.

It seems this version significantly reduced the overly complicated unenjoyable simulator elements of CDDA, but that's what CBN also do, so.....

CDDA is also free to play and has a lot of mods and stuff. After a quick search it sounds like this version is actually harder as it lowers food and ammo spawns and makes combat much harder. A lot of items that are ''bloat'' were removed. They also added wrestling zombies so you can grab and throw them off a cliff. Apparently they have mods on the discord but no plan for workshop.

Depends how brutal you want your survival to be. Cdda is more foused on wacky science and mutations while this is more about brutal survival.

That would be a shame. It gave CCDA the atmosphere of a world that is more than the typical zombie apocalypse simulator that I have played.

So less content and mechanics is better now? Grappling is fun, sure, but why not add it as a mod.

No idea who would want to play that thing

Because Worm Girl wanted to take the game in a different direction than the DDA team.

seems that different direction is backwards
