That's the LEAST of its problems. If you liked the first one, you WOULD like this (graphics don't make a game), BUT for the fact that one of the main game modes ("Skirmish") was removed before launch (for unknown reasons), which contained the bulk of what was depicted in the promotional trailers: the character / faction choices; most of the co-op functionality; the mode itself; much of the associated content... That is to say, don't bother unless you're really desperate for another CS game, or just shallow, scripted, hex-grid boredom interspersed with meh battles.
I don't agree. This game is really cool, in fact I requested it. There are only two minor issues: 1. Animations when talking from the first part were taken to the still images, that's a shame. 2. There is a bug with a priest, that doesn't heal itself after gaining level 2. But overall it is a great game.
Sorry, I just have a tendency to randomly comment on some games without even trying them. If a game shows in the screenshots patterns similar to those I've already seen in other games beforehand, which I've already identified as... "defective", I'm rather likely to point that out. Last time I did that, I managed to trigger a bunch of people (including a single case of minor 'reeee'ing as a response) and amass a somewhat impressive score of +1/-6 so I just gotta say that I didn't expect a reply of this sort this time.
Really depends on the screenshots. Sometimes just seeing a few pictures of how stuff looks in-game can be enough to judge for yourself if you'd even be willing to look at that kind of stuff for an extended period of time.
Does anyone know how to PLAY THE OTHER FACTIONS in this, and WHAT MODES HAVE CO-OP FUNCTIONALITY...? All I've got is the default "Sir Gavin" story mode, another locked story mode, and an "Arcade" mode that plonks players into the ground combat phase of the game, with player-1 as Gavin and player-2 as a generic archer...
If you're interested, there are no "other faction" currently -- the "Skirmish" mode, where the other factions / characters were usable, was removed before launch (for an unknown reason), and may or may not be "patched" back in. As such, the game is a glorified beta that contains only the default campaign mode (rather boring), an unlockable "bad girl" version of campaign (you have to play for hours to beat the default one to unlock it), and an "Arcade" mode that seems to be the battle phase (side-scrolling melee) of the game, split into missions with pre-set characters (no castles, no management, no character choice). In other words, the bulk of what the game was advertised for, is gone... and may or may not be put back in -- in gaming circles also known as "Early Access", or:
Didn't follow, just comparing to other games, this one is great. Not a fan, as a casual player I think this game is really good. Maybe that could let you see the game from the other point of view. I know how it feels to be disappointed, when waiting for something. But for me it's a really good game, not like 99% of crap released nowadays.

Would you consider the game as interesting from only the first one? And overall it is the best game ever made (I mean the Heroes). In fact Castle Storm II is a pretty similar concept, but with totally different battle mechanics. Maybe you're just too young to understand (not an offence).
