Why they upload a non working game??? What a pain in the A..

It worked when I launched it with RVTLauncher, after starting up steam. I mean, the game started at least. But it just gave me
"Steam authorization error
Please check connection and restart the game
Code: No Response"
And I had to Alt+F4 to leave the screen.
I tried it without opening up Steam first and experienced the problem the other people below were describing.
