has anyone figured out the problem with the C++ 2015 runtime and Direct X i can't seem to get past that no matter if i uninstall, refresh, reinstall, refresh or anything. the windows update doesn't update this either.
how do you get over the Runtime error that it has at startup. I did try to install the stuff but it was like it didn't either didn't pick up or didn't install because i could still "install" it again
this is a more sarcastic subnautica in space, but there is enough debate on it, unfortunately, this game has a game breaking bug, in the 2nd area with the filtration system, if you get and install it before the mission marker, well it will break your game, a fix is up on the steam beta branch, but it's not on the main branch yet
It's an insult to compare it with Subnautica. Breathedge is boring and a waste of time. In the first hour you maybe think it could be a funny and good game. It is not.
maybe they mean you can't build buildings as you can not it is about resource management and story narrative with item crafting as a progression element
Played this in alpha, got bored quickly for lack of content back then. It plays well, but you definitely get a different feel to Subnautica, spent months on it. Perhaps the kind of humor here is not on everyone's menu. All in all, a decent playthrough if you have the patience.
Actually i did play it for at least 2 hours. From what i've seen the only thing that could kill you is lack of oxygen when you go out in space. There are no creatures, Nothing persuing you, No aliens, Nothing at all it's empty. You can't die of starvation since there are food everywhere, Overall i found the game very lacking. Subnautica was much more entertaining. Anycase thats only my opinion
And what a circus of an opinion it is where either those two hours are made up or are in game journalist units. "make it look like subnautica" Will there be a day where people learn not everything in the survival genre is subnautica clone, nah I am to optimistic at times.
Thanks for your reply.I ask becuz i get fast lost in survival-games,and then i give up.But when i can follow a story, thats something i love. And I love Prey(and similar ones system shock etc, waiting for the reboot of system shock impatiencely)
What's this trend of people throwing out personal insults because they don't like the same things you like? It's not that serious, champ. Not everyone likes or appreciates survival games, that art style, or sea based exploration games.
It's an inanimate object. He didn't call your daughter or your mother garbage. He's expressing his opinion on a video game. He can call the came a sack of uncircumcised penis smegma.. That's his opinion in the video game. When you insult him personally, that makes you the idiot. You may not like a movie I enjoy. Does it make sense for me to call you a cōck sucking, chode gobbling, ánal cavity licking goblin?
I mean it is if we are talking about optimization or how the devs made decisions. Seriously the way they just trashed quite a number of cool features that were working or almost complete because they didn't want to fix the optimization or save file bloating for them to run smoothly was pretty damn bad. Especially when they then blamed it on anything but themselves. Then of course the whole "No guns cause school shootings" nonsense. Honestly still surprised such a fun game came out of the shitshow the development was. Tho it's optimization is still shit to this day.
Yep people cares about no guns or 3 or 4 stupid bugs, when Subnautica is one of the best survival games ever created, with an original and incredible story, original lifeforms, and hundreds of hours of content.
the reason was made quite clear and it wasnt cause of no school shooting and makes the game way more fun. and the reason given ingame makes total sense
The structures and tools that the replicators can create allow for one to pretty easily assemble an extremely deadly projectile, if Subnautica were in the real world that is. So no, the adorably naive "uhhh we don't 3D print guns" thing doesn't make any sense at all.
No that was the reason literally stated by a Dev multiple times. He even stayed around as people ripped him a new one for it and repeatedly tried to justify it. He did it in threads on Steam, their own forums and even responded to articles covering it. Here is the Game Director Charlie Cleveland's direct quote on the subject which started the whole stupid but funny deal. "I haven’t read all the comments here, but I’ll chime in here, as I’m the main reason we don’t have violent/weapons in the game. Subnautica was being birthed right around the time of the Sandy Hook shooting. This was a particularly nasty shooting, although many people don’t realize America has school shootings every day. Every. Single. Day. Yet, for reasons I cannot understand, our people and the corporations that influence our country want to continue making it easy for people to get, carry and use pistols, semi-automatic and fully-automatic weapons. I’ve never believed that video game violence creates more real-world violence. But I couldn’t just sit by and “add more guns” to the world either. So Subnautica is one vote towards a world with less guns. A reminder that there is another way forward. One where we use non-violent and more creative solutions to solve our problems. One where we are not at the top of the food chain." Also whether it makes the game more fun or not is a matter of opinion and the ingame reason given (which didn't come till a story update much later on) is frankly lacking if not straight stupid. Not having high power weapons in the survival blueprints because of a massacre is fine and would make sense ingame but not having basic tools for hunting and protection in a "survival kit" is just silly. About as silly as the fact you can make a knife, can make a metal pipe and have a welder but somehow can't figure out how to make a spear. Or how about how you can't make a gun but can make a torpedo launcher and lethal gas torpedoes (So guns bad but chemical weapons good I guess? lol). Don't get me wrong. It was a very entertaining game and I enjoyed the atmosphere. However the reasons and logic behind the decision as stated specifically by the Dev himself was just pants on head retarded.
Like I said I have no problem with the game not letting you make rifles and whatnot. I even agree weapons like that would degrade the game. It was just that the reasoning behind it was objectively fucking stupid. I'm not a fan of game devs using their commercial products to push personal ideals regardless of how grounded in reality they are or, in this case, aren't. Especially not ones that were early access titles where they literally asked consumers to fund the project so they could make a profit. Though I pirated that shit anyway so nuts to them. lol
He was called out on that in a few articles actually. He responded by saying he meant "mass shootings" not "school shootings" and even provided his source for statistics. Tho his source only proved him wrong anyway. But hey, what would a gun rights debate be without people who have no idea about firearms or gun control? I mean he actually thought people are making it easier for us to buy fully-automatic weapons. I don't know what make believe world he living in but I wanna go there. It's got to beat the arbitrary waiting times and tax stamps I'm paying. lol
Meh, don't worry about it. He's just another libtard woke dev just like that Mass Effect Andromeda Manveer Heir. These dev always find a way to put irl western politics in any video games.
A really interesting game. So far, 3 hours on the counter. This is Subnautica in space, with a very cool and bizarre humor, very often downright absurd.
I dunno at least subnautica had beautiful sea and fish everywhere. This game feels so lifeless. Aside from you the only living creature is that chicken. It gets boring after a while..
I haven't seen any monsters yet. Jokes and Humor are very absurd. There is also a busty girl who calls you all the time and begs you to find her and save her :)
This is what they always do on full releases. I dunno, might have something to do with people obsessively spamming the comments with "Early Access" tags in the original threads...
I don't know if it's the place to ask but I have no sound on the game, even at title screen. Does someone knows about this problem, please ?
i can't seem to get past that no matter if i uninstall, refresh, reinstall, refresh or anything. the windows update doesn't update this either.

(prob isnt the issue what it might be tho is that its getting misplaced or not applied)
it is about resource management and story narrative
with item crafting as a progression element

So I don't know, if it can be called Campaign.
I haven't played much yet.
omg, it's subnautica in space. Subnautica in space, guise
That said, it's optimization is utter garbage. Give it a few Post 1.0 patches.
One is a garbage with you floating on water, the other floating in space.
Honestly still surprised such a fun game came out of the shitshow the development was. Tho it's optimization is still shit to this day.
